Thanks for creating this ROM...its fast and light and UI is good looking too. Just one thing - how do I remove the brightness slider from the notification area under the status bar? I want space there and also it looks a little odd.

can i flash this on stock kk, because storage can be increased only in stock kitkat by flashing ebr files ...and also i tried to increase storage with mprio which is already in your rom but it has bricked my device 2 times,at that time i totally followed the steps and flashed this rom on jb ....pls help me cos i have only storage issue till now with this darkl. or post some trick like above ebr files to increase the storage ...

Yes, DarkL ROM v.1.6 is working on Micromax A120. I used the following method.
THIS SEQUENCE IS IMPORTANT!!!

I've used ClockworkMod Recovery wherever mentioned. I've tested this on my Micromax Canvas 2 Colours A120 (4GB variant), which previously had CleanKat v.3.0 ROM.

1. Download Stock JB ROM and flash via recovery, AFTER following other instructions regarding its installation. Here's the link for the ROM and its installation instructions:

2. Download Wiko Rainbow ROM and flash via recovery, AFTER following other instructions regarding its installation. Here's the link for the ROM and its installation instructions:

Here I would recommend saving the apks for the "TouchPal Keyboard". I liked it and know
I have it in DarkL.

3. Download DarkL ROM v.1.6 for Wiko base and flash via recovery, AFTER following other instructions regarding its installation. Here's the link for the ROM and its installation instructions:

It's for Wiko base, so you need Wiko in the first place.
It's not rooted, but you could flash the "perfect-root.zip" via recovery for root. I can't find the link for that right now.

Comments on ROM:
1. Works great with all the lovely designs and details. It's still not polished though. The "Data Connection" and "Long Press to Record" Quick settings get cut off. There should be a greater left-margin for the time and date in the notification bar.
2. All data on internal memory was deleted. Not sure if its the ROM or maybe I did something wrong. I had flashed all of these ROMs and the perfect-root.zip for internal memory. Now when I go to Recovery and try "Install from internal memory" it shows an error. Can't find "/emmc/" or something like that. However all read-write tasks work fine and I copied, pasted, moved, and duplicated files to find that everything is working just fine.
3. I've changed the calculator to the CM version found in CleanKat by using its apk (which I had saved beforehand). I've updated ES File Explorer and Google Keyboard (now it's smoother there are two Hindi options- regular and compact). Play Store got updated by itself, BUT not up to the latest version. I know this because I'd saved the apk for the latest version. Also, I replaced the themed "Messaging" app with the original Google Messenger. Sure it isn't "dark" but it's nice none the less. Using "Tinted Translucent Statusbar(Xposed Module)" adds more to the Materialistc design.
4. I changed the superuser app with SuperSU. My preference.
5. I loved "List View", "Perfomance" and "TweakBox". I'd still like a guide for "Performance", even though I managed the minimum CPU manipulation.
6. Can anyone please give me the link for the gallery replacement zip? I searched high and low but could not find it.
7. I use a Gravity Box tweak which allows the top-most region to be used like a scroll bar for brightness. This does not synchronize with the brightness bar in the notification panel. Not a big issue though, as its still manageable. The "material design" switches for WiFi and Bluetooth are fine and are of the correct size (or so it seems), but these switches are stretched nearly everywhere else. They still work too, but are unpleasant for the eyes.

I'll try and add screenshots later. I'm still looking for the gallery zip, as my copy got deleted from the internal memory. Please post the link here if you find it. Thank you.

i m in serious trouble here
my device is micromax a120 colors 2 :good:
i m new here and i wanted to root my phone so few months back i rooted my device using kingo root. Something called supersu was installed automatically. and it was working fine till then it was all was working fine i could move all system apps to my sd card. then suddenly i decided to unroot my device so i first unrooted it from supersu i cant remember how i did it ,then using the kingo root i again unrooted via my pc... till there i didnt think of rooting it again. Till there all was fine..all apps were working fine everything was so smooth :good:
then Came the LOLLIPOP update ,i came to know that Micromax a120 had not got an update and i some how came to this forum via google ,and found that the lollipop update was custom for this device so a lot of things had to be done ,
Then some how made my self agree that i shud take the risk and i took.
I dont know that if the su binary file of previously installed supersu still exits or not.
then following the instructions i downloaded all the files of 200 Mb etc that wer required.
1) first i rooted my device again using Kingo Root again but this tym i did not download the super su app
(i must have forgoten.)
2) Now i did not know what to do so I got scared .and then erased all my all user data cleared partition etc every thing i erased .
Note that i didnt unroot it
3) then.Thanks to my friend GOOGLE i got my apps, my account back installed all apps back and i was happy till now that my device is good (BUT IT WAS NOT).
4)Then for few days i was happy and then installed the apps again :good::good::good: But the internal space was way full by the apps so i had to move some apps on sd card
5) so i decided to root the device again i rooted it using kingo root. then again downloaded facebook app etc
6)When i first rooted my device i could move facebook app on sd card but this time even if rooted it i could not move facebook app to sdcard ...
7)few days after that i found that instagram was not working over wifi But was working over data .and you know that instagram consumes a lot of data.
8)atleast ten times i rooted and un rooted my device but still i cant solve the problem. PLEASE HELP
9) on top of that now every time i Re-boot my device i have a message of MICROMAX REGISTRATION i have to pay 1.20/- from my balance again and again. ****ING ****.
10) And now when i remembered that i had to install the supersu app after rooting. i first installed the supersu app . first it said it did not had root permission so i rooted then i rooted the device .after that it was working fine but su binary file is not getting installed. and i m stuck here

I would first advice you to flash the stock Micromax ROM via sp flash tools, check whether everything is working fine and after that you can try tweaking your device.

i downloaded the sp tool flash
i downloaded the cwm recovery file
i downloaded the stock jb
i downloaded wiko signed....
when i open the sp tools and select the scatterfile from stock jb everything works fine but when i click upgrade firm ware it stucks at 0% only. What to do now?

battery and wifi issues

Umang m finally able to flash the rom and i have installed darkl 1.6 on my micromax a120 2 colors
but i have issues regarding the battrey and wifi
my wifi automatically stops working if on standby for some time it shows connected but i cant access the internet:crying:
and then i have to either re-boot or switch to airplane mode and turn off the airplane mode then i could connect to the internet during this battery also goes down
and battery drains very fast after this rom PLEASE Provide some Solution to this .........
and the rom is very GOOD Awesome

I don't think this ROM would be developed any further. I would advise you to either return to the stock ROM or try installing the cleankat ROM of this developer.

I myself had updated my phone to kitkat via the OTA update. And this rom works flawlessly on my phone... Till now I have not encountered any bugs but ya there is a little problem with the dolby digital sound... If u are playing a music with dolby sound and u remove its app from recent tasks, the sound gets normal. Also a feature that is a little unsusual is that whenever someone calls me the call is not shoen normally but comes on the top of the screen.. Guess it will take some time for me to get used to this rom but otherwise a wonderful rom keeping in mind the free ram and the internal memory that u get.. Also has hundreds of life saving tweaks... Thanks again

No i dont face any such problems.. but i wasnt able to get v1.6 ... could u pls send me a link of 1.6
Also maybe i dont face any such issues coz i am using v1.4

1.6v has the issue of wifi i guess but the developer may have stopped 1.6v i guess
