Can anyone provide details/a list on what init.d scrip and build.prop tweaks in the ROM? Not all tweaks always work 100% as they're described so I like to make sure they're all worth adding.

Zipalign and zram wouldn't fit in the screening... Fyi. I would imagine the dev would know if it's worth adding or not

random observation: when i installed the ROM (both clean and dirty) and restart the phone, it boots normally and shows the "updating applications" messaging...when it finishes, it reboots itself AGAIN.

is that normal or does it indicate a problem?

oh, yeah, i don't attribute any problems to the rebooting thing, it's just different than Darthstalker on the S4 so i thought i'd call it out.

so far, the worst thing i'm dealing with is glitchy WiFi calling but it sounds like that may be a WiFi controller "issue" vs. a problem with the ROM.


***i still can't get the exposed framework to install properly, though. weird.

Installed from the start right after unlocking my phone to use on ATT. No problems, T-mobile hotspot app works perfectly. I did have to manually enter APN settings but that's a given.

Also changed DPI to 320 in build.prop and got Xposed framework 2.31 beta working lickity split! App settings to adjust apps that freak out (dialer, camera, contacts, etc.) with the smaller text. Great work this early in the game. If this phone has the following the note 2 does, it's going to be a monster!

I'm confused what ur goal is to do with pen window? Are you trying the mod to get any app In pen window? If so, there's an app. Now where you can pick or remove any app to show in floating pen window. IRS actually pretty sweet and worked flawless.

All I'm say is the apk doesn't work for me & for some ppl either from what I've read. That's the only issue I'm having.

hey I just rooted my note 3, mainly for hot spot use...with this rom I can use the native hotspot feature and block tmobile from seeing it? of course having to do the apn back and restore as well. I had this working perfectly on my NOTE 2.

I'm unlocked and on AT&T. If you're on Tmobile and the app works (I believe the auth checks were disabled by the dev so it works whether you have a tether plan or not) it should be good to go. Just don't do 12GB a month worth of Netflix/Amazon prime a month and it should be fine! I've been tethering for years, since 2011 actually, and never had an issue. Usually stay at or below 5GB/month on a grandfathered unlimited plan. With LTE speeds hitting in excess of 60Mbit/s it's hard to resist, like shooting a full auto when they give you 100 rounds a month LOL.

So how did you make the hotspot tethering to work. I'm on att too, and though I can connect to the AP, there's no Internet flowing through.

The same thing happened here. I opened Firefox (on my phone) and noticed I did not have Internet access on the device. Add the ATT Phone APN and rebooted. Had 4G LTE icon and data. Started hotspot app and connected my laptop. It takes a min or two for it to connect and get a connection. But it works and I was getting good speeds on the laptop.

I only have the 'ATT phone' APN on my phone too, but connecting a 2013 nexus 7 to it gets an IP, but surfs not. Hmmm...

I was using JEDI MASTER rom on my note 2, and never had slow downs or issues with the native hotspot from tmobile. I have the unlimited 4g plan with no slow downs. I connect my daughter's iPad and my son's Nexus 7 at the same time while in the car and it always works well.
Now on my Note 3, I installed Darthstalker..had to use apn backup and restore app to do the same thing I did with my Note 2 and everything is working again. I can use the native hotspot and already tested the ipad and get LTE speeds as expected.

I am seeing the same thing you are, I used cwm and followed each step and then booted and boot loop,
I tried again with odin and flashed twrp, tried again.
Flashed stock image with odin thanks to deeznuts
cf root, flash twrp, follow directions wipe adv wipe cache and system install rom boot loop.
Checked MD5 tried with internal and ext storage
What is strange when I odin back to stock I have extra apps, density changer trickster mod and tubemate. But not everytime. I had no issue till I tried to flash this rom. I hope this helps with info, I would love to give it a whirl.

I also ended up with tubemate and other odd apps, so I'm guessing the odin image wasn't completely stock. The phone is also now pretty buggy and unreliable with connections and things like that. If anyone has any additional tips to get a rom working, please share.

Also, to elaborate a bit more, I tried two roms and they both boot looped, so I'm guessing we're now looking at recovery incompatibilities. I tried both TWRP and CWM to no avail.

you need to flash twrp 2.6.3.1, i was on .3.2 and it gave me constant boot loops. I was pulling my hair, I tried everything and then flashed .3.1, reflashed the rom and instant fun.
