I got it working. It will only work on TW roms and the big thing is you have to have bone the stock kernel. I could not connect on Jedi KK until I flashed the stock kernel, then bam! I am connecting to a Samsung tv so maybe that helps. Hope this helps as I could not find anyone else posting how to make it work.

Thanks! I wonder if trickster will let me backup the stock kernel. I really like clean kernel but it was a no go with screen mirroring. Also I wish someone would come up with a way to mirror while the screen is off. Maybe with darthstalker :0)

Edit: This kernel is for 4.4 only - but same goes for JB - need stock kernel for screen mirroring to work.

Jovy ive read some of your threads tethering etc. You are a busy guy... did you find out which tmo.. apps detect tethering?


I definitely appreciate all the work you have done. ... Which in its amount, and benefit is greatly underrated or overlooked. .. Thank you

Will they work for kit kat. And also the tethering mod I read in the s galaxy section?

You have to update to stock kit kat to update the bootloader. Of course you will have to re root and jovy mentioned it is recommended to update the bootloader.

Hmmm. Do you mean by Odin? If so I'm assuming it would be hard to TWRP back to my backup of v6 if I ended up updating the boot loader and going back to stock.

Yes i mean odin. And yes there is so far no way to return to jelly bean once you update to kit kat bootloader.

For those who want to upgrade to Kit Kat (which you will have to do anyway before flashing any KK rom) in preparation for what we all must be assuming will be a Kit Kat rom with v7:
