[ROM] Debloated Stock 4.4.4 21.11.21

Despite what the OP post, can I just totally wipe my system using TWRP, and just flash the debloated ROM from scratch? Or do I need to flash a stock ROM, then reflash with the debloated file. Doesn't make sense to me why I would.

I have never attempted to flash this without a known good OS..I would GUESS that the OS must be installed, because this mod is looking for existing ingredients..but I cannot say for sure, and I don't, at this time, have the time to test your theory..

One would flash this from TWRP or CWM..

Is there a reason Motorola and Google apps survived the cut in this debloat? Are there dependencies to other apps you wanted to keep.

Please don't take this question as a negative comment because it certainly isn't, just merely asking a question before I start freezing apps. Most of the apps are system apps and not sure if I should delete them yet.

You can choose any method on this forum to unlock the tethering, there are plenty of methods to unlock the tethering.

You say that like I havent tried any number of solutions in this and the moto X thread? All of them I am able to turn mobile hotspot on then when I back out and go back in it is unchecked??

No worries, will give it a try and if it still doesnt work than I will try loading up a fresh install and trying from the start. So far this is the fastest stock rom of 4.4.4 out so I want it to work.

Hi been on this rombfor about at least a couple months no problems. I just noticed that my developer options force closes when I try and use it. You can see I don't use it much only thing would be to turn on USB. Is this a ROM thing or my phone? Thanks.

i dont think its a rom issue, try clearing your cache, that might fix the problem.

i dont think its a good idea as you'll get forcecloses or apps not working due to caches made in the backups.

try using TWRP 2.8.0.0 as i have confirmation that it works. i have not tested it on 2.8.0.1

Yep, got the force closes. Uninstalled the apps, then download a fresh copy from the market. The whole touchless screen/ notification thing got messed up somehow. I'll switch back to 2800, when I get the chance. Counting my blessings that 2801 worked out, and my stock system backup was restorable.

Is it possible to flash this if you don't have an unlocked Bootloader? Running .2 and rooted.....and if so, what's the proper steps to not brick the phone?
