Yes I would try over stock 19.6.3.

As for using with Safestrap I don't think so since the system file has been edited and no longer signed my Moto and we use RSD to flash it. Not sure if there is a version you could use with Safestrap or a way to make one. I believe one could debloat a stock install with Safestrap preposterous and get the same result just more time consuming.

But before you try anything to much with Safestrap I would check with the OP.

Been awhile since I played with this phone been messing with a Chromecast last couple of months. So don't rely on me 100% by any means going off memory and that ain't so good any more. Lol

Why are SO many possessed with the "Unlocked" and "SafeStrap" boot screens..how many times a day are you people rebooting.?

NOT that it matters to anyone, but I personally think the screens are a nice addition, something a bit different from stock.!

Debloated 19.6.3

The only issue I have had at all with this debloated rom is turning on the mobile hotspot. It will not turn on at all. When I click it, it grays out and that's it. Any ideas?

I've got a Developers Edition XT1080. I've installed TWRP v2.7. I've tried out a moto-msm8960dt nightly from Cyanogenmod and a unified LiquidSmooth 3.1 ROM (both of which flashed and ran fine) so I know I can flash custom ROMs to the phone. I backed up my existing ROM, did a "Factory Reset" (Data, Cache and Dalvik), wiped Cache and Dalvik again out of habit, then flashed version 19.6.3 of this ROM. It appeared to install just fine, I get the custom boot up screen but then the top half of my screen goes black, the bottom half seems to freeze, and after 15 seconds or so the phone boot loops. That happens even when I reboot, repeatedly.

My instinct is just to download the ROM again, wipe everything again and do a fresh install. Before that, though, it rarely hurts to ask if I'm "doing it right". Am I?

Looking forward to Debloated 4.4.4, mostly due to the fact I'll be able to just install via TWRP instead of having to reflash a stock bootloader.

I'm lazy, I know.
You have to use a stock recovery (that's what you mean, rather than "stock bootloader",isn't it?) to flash this ROM? If so, I must have missed this.

I think the liquid smooth messed up something, just reflash again.

He'll just have to flash it on TWRP, he'll not have the new modem and some system stuff, but it will work.

Just tried flashing on my XT1080DE using TWRP 2.7 again and got the same half-black screen freeze and boot loop. If flashing with TWRP means "no new modem and some system stuff", what is the preferred way to flash this ROM?

Hoping that your 4.4.4 comes out soon. Being the button-pusher that I am, I messed around and hit the system update button in your 19.6.3 debloated, and it downloaded the stock 4.4.4. update, but I'm not going to install it, as I do not have the stock recovery installed.

If you have Titanium Backup Pro..one can "freeze" the "Motorola OTA 1.0" and avoid accidental update..
