Another finding , cast screen from with in cm12 (from drop down notifications/settings acces list) not working. From chromecast app it is working OK.

OTA is working as of 15 Jan nightly. I just downloaded it and installed on my V500.

On CM12 nightly 18/01 and getting SD card error "SD card removed, insert new card" was working OK on 15/01 nightly.
Anyone know of a fix for this as unable to remount even after removing and reinserting.

Hi, yes I have exactly the same issue still nightly 18/01. It was in fact more stable with the previous version. I had also this issue on CM11, the only way to solve it was to install another kernel, but with another kernel my lggpad was not stable anymore.

I have installed nightly 20/01, is running now for 2 hours, still no sdcard unmount.

unfortunately, the SD-card issue is still present, the difference is, in the past, only after several unmounts, the SD-card has disappeared, now, directly at the first unmount the SD-card is removed.

Hello @dalingrin, I'm posting this with the hope that it was you who developed the sources at cyanogen on which every custom ROM for v500 seems to be based on and I want to ask you if you could fix one very particular problem. The issue is that on pretty much every other ROM's and other CM's for other devices I was always able to use a audio mod called V4A or Viper4Android which does for audio what CM does for android and I can't live without (I'm a very detailed music listener). Well to prevent me from more rambling, thank you very much If you could fix this. The is that the mod installs correctly but never processes the audio.

I've nightly 2015-01-15 with redkernel installed. Battery live and sdcard work fine.
My only problem are the shutdown messages of all gapps. Is it possible to deactivate them ?

just so that im correct in what problem is
using cm11? then use compatibility mode, the V4A readme should already tell you that in the troubleshooting section
cm12? wait until the dev updates the app, not a cm problem

still doesnt work? it should unless LPA is not disabled, LPA should be disabled

Since Ive been working so hard to get all of the gapps to restore with the proper file/directory permissions and SuperSU is the only root application that currently works correctly with TiBackup in Lollipop (CM12), I've been testing SuperSu 2.45's backup script and have found two issues (one is a lollipop only issue).

1) bin/log is a softlink to toolbox and should not be included in the list of files to be backed up. This causes the toolbox binary to be copied to bin/log after an update is applied.

2) When a directory is restored after an update and that directory is not part of the original ROM structure, the directory is given full read/write/execute permissions upon recreation. A post-script rule is necessary to set the proper permissions (755). This behavior is the same for CyanogenMod 11 and 12. For Example, /system/app/SuperSU is not a directory that is part of the original ROM, so when that "SuperSU" directory gets restored after an upgrade, it will be full read/write/execute. It is noticeable in lollipop because of the new file structure in /system/app/.

In the mean time, I've made a file to flash in the recovery that installs a patched backup script in addon.d:

Hi, after the migration from CM11 to CM12, had massive sd-card unmount issue. This has been solved by installing Redkernel. But I have the feeling that the LG GPAD 83 is not so responsive as under the CM kernel.

Hi,
I've updated to CM12-Nightly-2014-02-02 with Redkernel and new Gapps.
Everything works fine, but I had to freeze the Google Play Newsstand app.
Gmail doesn't shutdown anymore, also Play Store and Chrome .
Only the rotation lock has some bugs. At least one app (zeit online, a german newsapp) can rotate even if the rotation is locked. Update: This happens with CM11 also.
I don't have any problems with my sdcard. Don't know if it works without Redkernel.

Update: CM12-Nightly-2014-02-10 with Redkernel 0.15 works fine, no new complaints.

Anyone have an issue with PA full gapps not installing? Getting insufficient storage error in /system on a clean flash of today's nightly (2/3) cm12.

I get insufficient storage space error continuously during play store updates. I have plenty of room and few apps. This started when cm12 nightly came out. Sometimes a reboot will temporarily fix it. Thinking of going back to cm11 or a stock based Rom.
