But it would be great if these issues could be fixed (since they were in cm11) because cm9.1 is much more smooth on our ace. Atleast speaker routing.

Try the latest cm11 nightly and you will be surprised how stable and smooth it is.

Or maybe wait till tomorrow (nov. 16), the dev will submit another build that includes call delay fixes.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

BroadcomCM is based on the CyanogenMod Project. Our goal is to create ROMs based on CyanogenMod Sources for Broadcom BC21553 devices. All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the broadcomCM Github repo. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

The project is discontinued as all the effort needs to be put in the CM11 project.
CM11 is already stable, and it is gonna get better from time to time, so if you want to upgrade your ace, go ahead and try CM11, you will be amazed

I masteked in something ?
Keep Going :good:

Why will the development not continued?
Yeah CM11 is really stable but for this *old* device is CM11 too big and with 256MB RAM it´s really slow and laggy.
I´m runnig CM7 on this device, because it´s running best on this device.
I think CM9 will be better as CM7/CM11.
It´s better on this device and it will run much better than CM11.

Several factors: CM9 was already obsolete when sources were released back in early 2014, ART isn't supported on ARMv6, plus that the aforementioned architecture is too old and no longer in production. You should consider upgrading your device soon, most apps are losing support for 2.3.X and below.

I already have new devices:
-HTC One Mini 2
-Samsung Galaxy S3
The galaxy ace is one of my two old devices.
Android 4.0 is a great os for old devices (runs fine on my htc hd mini, another armv6 device) but in this rom there are too much bugs.
It would be cool if this device will get CM9 or CM10 in the future.
CM7 is too old for many apps.
With CM11 i can´t mount /system as R/W and can´t use SD-EXT, SD Swap and of course Link To SD.
It´ll run much better if I can mount my swap sd partition and use SD-EXT.

I think CM9 would be nice for this device...
But I can´t build roms at myself...

Unfortunately device is left with no developers, only few themers are active. You're right would be great if they left us with stable cm9 but no compatible libraries though.

Anyway, cm11 is much stable but laggy can be used as a daily driver.

You can mount system as rw. Just install root explorer and tap on grey box saying 'Mount rw' then give root rights (check attached screenshot) and go to recovery format /sdext partition and mount it again. Now open link2sd and create ext3 type mount script.

For lags flash broadcom v0.3 script, pureperformance, adrenaline engine and seeder (non cwm version) and use greenify with xposed framework

Follow my guide flash delicious mountains rom it's having smoothest, lightest and smaller in size framework and each and every system app is smaller in size compared to any other cm11 based roms. But if you want featureful rom like hybrid ones than go for AceRom (build1) based on cm11 as well or themed one like sony xperia themed rom but i found it laggy. These are my personal opinions be free minded

I´m using custom themes on my devices like "Holo Red" or on CM12/CM13 black material design.
The offical cm11 is a little bit laggy and it´s ok.
But it´s really slow due to low ram (256mb) and the internal memory is too small for many apps.
With the CM11-cooperve rom I can´t mount /system as read-write.
I tried it with Es File Explorer and the Terminal-Emulator but both won´t work!
link2sd also can´t create the sd-ext mount script because nothing can mount /system as read-write...
I´m wondering why Viper4Android can install his audio driver...
But this is the important point:
If i want to install apps to /system/apps I have to modify the rom.zip and flash the complete rom again to this phone.
There is no chance to mount /system as rw.
With all my other devices I have no problems with this.
I can change the bootanimation, install/remove system apps and can add/remove some ui sounds...

If you want look at my screenshots in the attachments and I hope you understand what i mean...

I completely understand what you saying. Tell me have you tried root explorer bcs its working so perfectly for me. After mounting rw from root explorer i can now access rw rights from terminal emulator or any other app. Please read it again what i have mentioned above in comments.

Check it bro its my s5830i and link2sd working in cm11. Just use root explorer and it would be normal. And for lags prefer to read my previous comment. Trust me delicious mountains is what our device needs.

Yeah I tried it and it works!
I dont know why only root explorer can mount /system as read write but it´s okay.
Now to your delicious mountains rom:
I already tried it, but there was some more bugs than in the "offical armv6 cm11" version.
A big thing was a bug with systemui that shows only a black backround.
The first boot was ok but after a reboot i saw always a black backround...
Pick a new wallpaper did not fix the problem.
there was also some other little things (USB connection did not work)

If you want I can install it again and give you a full and detailed bug report ;)

    How to logcat:
    Code:
    adb devices
    • Then type:
    Code:
    adb logcat -v long > logcat.txt
    • Then the file logcat.txt will be saved on the directory you're doing the commands
    • Paste it on pastebin.com and post it, we will thank you :)
