I wish you a happy new year too.

I found 4 problems.

1. If I use the privacy guard and I turn on asking for external storage read / write permission on my firefox browser, then it should not be able to load a webpage. But it does it without my permission after 17-20 seconds

2. If I press the power button to turn on the Airplane mode, I prefer to read
Airplane Mode
turn on

instead of

Airplane Mode
Airplane mode is off

3. Some phone codes (mmi) for my service menu no longer work.

4. And when I installed lineage-14.1-20190120-UNOFFICIAL-z3c today, google playstore was already inside but I had no gapps installed and previously I wiped data & system.

Any new bugs are likely bugs introduced by LineageOS changes (there haven't been any Z3C specific changes since months - you can check the git repos for that). I'm just compiling the codebase as is; it's beyond my skillset to do bugfixing, hence the name 'maintenance builds'.

As for the Play store, it is not included by default (Google doesn't allow that), and I'm building from vanilla LineageOS sources. I don't know what happened in your case, but it surely is not part of the ROM itself.

All I can advise you is to roll back to an older version, and to wait for a newer build. the 2019-01 ASB took a while to get approved (it seems it only just got added, really - took almost a month) so it might be part of the issues are related to those.

Does anyone have a problem with the microphone. Very often it happens that no one can hear me.
Restart helps but only for a next few calls. ROM downloaded from volatilesystems.org
Hardware or software problem?

New 14.1 build with the March 2019 ASB available through the link in my signature.

The usual caveats apply.
Thanks again for keeping our device up to date! :good::eek:
Is there any chance you'd be willing to share a "quick and dirty" guide on how to do what you're doing, i.e. merging the recent ASBs into the ROM?
I'm not even remotely a dev myself, so even the relatively simple guide on the LOS site on how to build the ROM startles me :(

I have done a write-up here. I've tried to keep it concise while still including a few edge cases you might encounter while applying the monthly ASB patches.

Awesome, that's exactly the kind of guide I was looking for, well-written and in a more human-friendly language than most official ones, thanks a bunch!

P.S. - You did a great job writing the guide in such painstaking detail, really well done!

Hey guys, sorry for this question :) but which are the known issues of this version? I lost overview in this thread...

Big thanks for your help :good:

I've been using the builds that .:B:. has been compiling for us for nearly a year now, encountered no major issues so far.

There was an issue with accessing SIM Contacts some time ago, which was solved by merging a patch from the LOS Gerrit.
Apart from that, there still is an (albeit a somewhat niche) issue, which causes microphone input to stop working (other side can't hear you) if you switch to the loudspeaker during a call, which occurs only if you're using 3rd-party call recording apps. The solution is stop the recording, switch to the loudspeaker, then start it again.

New release out, everything else broken not included in changelog is a WORK IN PROGRESS (maybe), including the dreaded phone trying to suicide at night issue.
I would also appreciate if this thread is kept on-topic to development related material only.
Also, just a gentle reminder that extra features not in plain LOS will not be added like Substratum support etc.
    Thanks.

    Hi people,

You might be all wondering what has been happening lately so I'll give an update.
We've stopped using our own little gerrit and have moved to the official LineageOS Gerrit for code review. Also, all the device trees and kernels have all been pushed to LineageOS repos as well.
Does this mean that we are official now? Nope, there are still some outstanding issues that need to be dealt with before that can happen, but it is progress. I can't give an ETA on these things because seriously who knows?
It's like asking someone how long it'll take to complete their homework, they might get stuck on a really hard question for a long long time and need heaps of time to finish it. Similarly, the issues with hardware encryption have not yet been resolved, as well as 3am reboots (possible solutions being tested), and bluetooth issues among other things.
So, TL;DR just chillax and wait or contribute fixes to speed things up.

Furthermore, I was working on Rhine platform bringup last week, which you can see on the Xperia Z1 forums with some ROMs being based entirely on our work. :D

Anyway, hope to put out a release after July security patches are merged in LineageOS sometime this month (no idea when, don't ask).

New release. I don't know what happened to the OP.
Please restart once for camera to work.
Please make a backup in TWRP before flashing, I haven't had any opportunity to test this myself.
Also, make sure to flash the new recovery to avoid error 7, link is with ROM link in the OP.
Flash with: fastboot flash FOTAKernel twrp_xxxx.img

Right now we are trying to focus on getting good tunings for the CPU governor and hotplug to balance performance with battery life. Also, we are still working on the two final big issues which are random reboots at night (testing out a fix atm) and encryption support (and yes, Bluetooth probably).

    Changelog:
    Code:
    - ambient display support (can disable in settings)
    - tuned cpu hotplugging (won't wildly jump during idle anymore)
    - cleaned up GPS/location related settings
    - charging LED for <90% now actually orange
    - aptX codec support
    - Assertive display enabled
    - changes to USB current control
    - lineageos latest changes
    - call microphone quality improvements
    23
ROM updated, most of the work was done by @rcstar6696 and @nailyk
    Code:
    - CPUQuiet hotplugging instead of MPDecision
    - Time services
    - Wifi mac address doesn't randomise anymore
    - Selinux enforcing
    - Wifi hotspot working (I think)
