Edit, seen as this a version of Cyanogen, My assumption is no live wallpaper?

I tried this one ------>http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=689168 with limited success, not surprising the encluded htc sense LWP do not work, how ever, the starfield LWP did work and some others that I already had installed from the market.

Be warned, the "undo" that is also on that page will break your rom so make sure to do a nandroid backup if you want to undo.

At this moment, I haven't yet tried the other option, that's next on my hit list:D

Hi all, I notice in the market that there is an update for the quickpic gallery (V1.4.3)

I have found you can't update it from the Market, it only keeps saying package signed failed or something like that.

I have spent quite a while finding a solution to this which does work, but takes a bit of effort, esspecialy for S-ON users. (You do need a bit of experiance with adb, clockworkmod etc)

I think I got everything right *fingers crossed, better you do a nandroid backup, just in case :-D

The basic idea is you need the quickpic apk to start off with (I think it will be named Quickpicv1.4.3.apk)

you can try one of these sources. EDIT:-looks like these are zip files so you will have to extract them first.

next comes the hard bits
Next you need to extract the file called "libqpicjni6.so" from Quickpic apk and push it in into the /system/lib/libqpicjni6.so

(rename apk to zip and copy the file out of the folder \lib\armeabi\libqpicjni6.so and put it somewhere you know, then rename the zip back to apk)

Next rename the Quickpic_signed.apk in the location /sd-ext/app/ to say Quickpic_signed.bak (this is a backup incase it doesn't work for you, in which case you'll be able to rename it back to apk and then have old quickpic work again, you might have to delete "libqpicjni6.so" located in the /system/lib/ too?)

rename the Quickpicv1.4.3.apk to Quickpic_signed.apk and then push it to /system/app/

Job Finished, Restart phone.

keypoints to remember:-
you'll need to go into clockworkmod and mount your system folder and your sd-ext folder if your going to do it via PC and adb commands.

I think that pretty much covers it, I guess there's quite a lot of manual work to do the update, and i'd say that someone that knows how to make scripts etc could whip something up to do the job in a few seconds via flashing, but me not no how to.

At this stage, I'm not even sure if the effort of the update is actually worth it, other than the personal learning experiance I have had getting it working.
I am by no means and expert at doing all this stuff, so I might not be able to help if it doesn't work for you.

If the more advanced dev's, user's contributors pick up an error please don't hold your tounge LOL....

Bugs or my problem only??

i cant send sms using build in sms application.it will take forever to send. but after install gosms i can send it normally.

Will restart automatically after bot if i set OC 806mhz as set on boot.

Battery icon charging.



When charging the battery icon doesn't move just stays on 1 red dot is this normal ?
i like to see the battery icon charging and not staying in one place.

Also when i receive a message the text runs over the clock is there anyway to fix this also?
And how to change status bar to black all the time because my notifications are the same color as the bar and cant see them :/

Hi all, I just recently found the windows app called android commander, pretty darn good app to have on your windows PC to mess with your phone.

For those that don't know Android commander has a live logcat feature, I used it for a while and watched all the data fly-by I noticed that there was quite a lot of errors showing up, I'm still a newbie, But Learning, so not sure if this is normal to have so many errors showing up.

The phone was just sitting there screen off for a while, one thing I did notice in particular is a constaint polling of a web address in china, this actually concerns me as it was doing it quite regularly, my mobile internet was off at the time and it kept comming up red error, the end of the web address was ntp.cn can't remember the first bit, I think this might be the national time server possibily?

I'm actually back on Cyanogen 7.10 now, mainly because after a constant week of using devil rom, it seams to suck the life out of my battery every day, ok fair enough, I listen to music for at least 7 hours a day, but in comparison to CM 7.10 my battery is flat with in the 7-8 hours on devil but still about 20% on CM, I have the same apps and Processor speeds set on both....

Yeah this is a hardware limitation, the legend is designed to run at 600 mhz only, however designers add overheads to allow for stability & tolerances of electronic components, by overclockng you are eating into that overhead and once you go past the phone limit, bam, reboot cause it don't like it anymore.

This limit varies phone to phone caused by the tolerances of the electronic components that are used to make your phone.

My own personal opinion that OC the phone too high is not good, it will stress out the electronics and eventualy will fail. i use 768mhz on mine, but I can push it upto 844 Mhz without reboot (Didn't try any higher because I'm a wuss and i like my phone :D :p;) )

It will be possible to have all the rom in Italian including the sub-menu?

Because when we are in a word accented letters are separated from the rest of the word? (For example: Dad = pap à instead of papà. Why?

No. First download the Roboto font files here and rename the two files to DroidSans.ttf and DroidSans-Bold.ttf respectively. Then adb push both files to /system/fonts, which will overwrite the existing font files.

If you're not familiar with adb, read up on it.

That's correct, but the system partition is only accessible if you're S-ON. Otherwise (for S-OFF phones) you need to boot to recovery, run the clockworkmod recovery script, and overwrite the font files with the adb push command.
