Can't downgrade from android 11?

Ok so I was on official Android 11 sep. build rooted, and then I got soft bricked I think because it tried to update automatically... witch that sucks. But then I try to install this rom, I follow all the instructions, but it's been stock on the red on white unicorn boot logo for 25 min now. So I think it's not possible for me to install this rom since I already had Android 11 installed on it. Is that correct?? :(

Have you tried re flashing the official Android 10 then go back to Dirty Unicorns?

flash the last android 10 stock image. after that you should be able to install any android 10 ROM. i was on 11 just to see the new stuff (not really impressed) and reverted back to DU. hope that helps! btw, theres a few help threads that show you how to do the install.

Best bet is to flash final A10 rom to both slots and then flash the rom. If you do not do it this way it is really hard for anyone to offer any help.
omg yes I had to flash stock Android 10 then boot into it before flashing this rom. Thank you I just didn't have the idea to do it this way.

Oh I can already feel the smoothness compared to Stock Android 11... It's weird this year they made it worse. I found online also people having freezes with the pixel 3 on Android 11. I can safely say this ROM feels fast and has some cool tweaks that are actually useful that I am used to from other ROMs. There is not point of upgrading anymore.. ? What do you guys (or girls) think?

a11 is outrageous for me on blueline lol. sluggish, so many hiccups here and there and for example gcam is simply not usable, super slow when opening and switching modes, really a shame. even after a factory reset and no apps installed.. I'm on los18 now and it is so much better than stock. not sure I'll get other Google phones..

Strange - I have no issues with stock Andtoid 11 on blueline and its certainly not sluggish.

Tried LOS but switched back to stock.

Will be syncing and building DU as soon as its ready.

Sent from my Pixel 3 using XDA Labs

there is reason to upgrade tho. security! security updates are actually the only reason needed for updates. all the tiny improvements done to android are worthless IMHO. security should be reworked so that its handled by google and not OEMs. treble also needs to be better. pixel owners should be able to just flash any gsi and still retain active edge and other features.
