[ROM] [DISCONTINUED] idprophecy's unofficial optimized LineageOS 15.1 builds

My photos that I copied into the default "Picture" folder don't show up in the Google photos app, only pictures taken with the camera do. I am pretty sure that in the past it would display any picture put on the device.

Is anyone else having this issue; any solutions?

btw i think i'm done:
in the last 3 weeks i clean-flashed almost 6 times, trying nano and pico open gapps.
With nano i do get the "ok google" voice match recognition from every screen, but i also get a lot of reboot, while on pico i lose "ok google"voice trigger, but in return everything is waaay more stable, almost no reboot.

I think i'll stick with pico: for me, stability is the most important features after all.

Well, Google just released version 4 of the photos app. Hopefully, that fixes some things.

And I've always flashed stock GApps but never had any problems, maybe it's, again, something they changed. Also, do you setup all your apps or restore them from a backup?

You could test the zip that underclocks your cpu a little bit. I also think that this overheating problem is quite common on LOS 15.1 for Bacon. Here is the link to the underclock zip: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/themes-apps/twrp-zip-underclock-cpu-messing-mp-t3837338

The thing is that it was perfect since I installed it, like for 2 months or sth like that.. This heating thing started a week ago, and its draining my battery like crazy... Something must have caused it for sure but I cant find out what... I dont want to underclock it cuz I play pubg sometimes.

Hmm.. So something is happening in the backround. What does your battery stats show? Which apps are the most consuming the battery etc. I have no idea what could be the cause but let's us troubleshoot!

Loving the rom so far. Much better than official lineage, especially with battery life and battery charging speed.

One bug that really annoys is the favourites in phone app. It doesn't show the "starred" favourites properly in order. Sometimes not shown at all. And random names from contacts who haven't been dialled replace the starred favourites. Happens instantly after fresh clean install also. With mindthegapps, open pico, open micro and etc. Irrespective of whichever package, this happens.

Hope someone else experiences the same. This is on the latest build.

It seems to work fine on my side. Try using the phone app from playstore

and maybe try do the same with contacts app, search it in play store.

Also not having this issue. This is my daily ATM and I have no issues whatsoever. The Pie ROMs are fun to play with but nothing out can replace this ROM for me at the moment. At the end of my day I'm still at 75% battery and with nice USB cables it'll recharge from 75% in roughly 15 minutes. All I added to it was greenify. Thanks OP

Google Issues

Been having lots of bugs/issues lately, but I don't think they are from ROM.

Face unlock isn't an option in smart unlock

Can't toggle on Voice Match to unlock the device

W/ActivityManager(  662): Unable to start service Intent { act=com.google.android.gms.speech.service.START pkg=com.google.android.gms } U=0: not found
W/ActivityManager(  662): Unbind failed: could not find connection for [email protected]
E/GmsClient( 3744): unable to connect to service: com.google.android.gms.speech.service.START on com.google.android.gms

When starting a song in google play, the timer runs but nothing plays, can't change volume, then causes a reboot.​

These all seem to be google related.

Is anyone else experiencing these problems, any suggestions? To note: I'm running a clean flash with GAPPS, magisk, and normal setup, nothing more.
*Using Id's ROM, Open GApps, Kutep0v's TWRP (testing version)... Should I try a stable TWRP?*

I have had a problem with calls as in the other party not being able to hear me unless I am almost shouting at the phone. I did a full wipe install after installing firmware.fixed with no mods etc.
Other than that this ROM is as smooth as butter, really liking it so spent some time looking for a solution and tried this by xda member @ErycRider andVadodara:

Thank you for your work. Your LineageOS 14.1 was the first ROM I flashed after getting my OPO last year, and it was amazing! In fact, it inspired me to start compiling and sharing my LineageOS builds, and I hope I'll manage to continue building optimized versions of LineageOS in the future as well.

Dear @idprophecy,

please revert back to version 14.1 for your storage. All versions 15.1 have problems, whether it's yours or another LOS15.1 based ROM. The most problem is a battery drain.
