I just realized it doesn't have sound on both of the SIM cards. I had high hope from this ROM but sadly it is worse then the other "buggy" ROMs as it doesn't have the basic functionality, also developers have stopped supporting so I think those issue is never gonna solved. (No Offence)

Check Page 5, theres a solution i used to fix my device, only works on sim 1

Good Luck Bro

hi guys,
I just flashed my first ever rom and so far Lineage OS has been working fine
however I do have a problem where, when i restart/reboot the phone the whole screen flickers and the status bar jumps up and down. But when i lock the phone and unlock, it stops glitching. I am not sure if that's a bug or not.

P.S. I have a broken but original display and the issue is only when I restart the phone and disappears when i lock and unlock the phone.

LineageOS is a free, community-built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restores the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Instructions :
  • Download the latest build and GApps
  • Boot to recovery
  • Flash the latest build
  • Boot to recovery again
  • Flash GApps
  • Reboot

Reporting Bugs
  • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
  • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
  • If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
  • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log

Hi, this ROM is really great but it has two bugs; Bluetooth crashes constantly and does not have boot animation. Where do you think the problem comes from? It's interesting to me as if only I have this problem! Help please

Should I use lineage recovery or TWRP?

The instructions on official lineage website is using lineage recovery BTW.
How did you manage to unlock the bootloader of this device?
Hi
you can flash TWRP onto your phone and proceed without any issues.
Unlocking the Bootloader is not required as it is not locked and is only for android devices shipped with Lollipop (as far as I know)
i flashed LOS in the following way (no pc)
1. installed twrp app from google play store
2. downloaded the .img file for grand 2 from xda
3. took a backup of the existing (stock) recovery into an sd card
4. flashed Twrp using the TWRP FLASH option within the official app and selecting the downloaded recovery img file
Reboot into recovery to verify

To install LOS
1. downloaded all the necessary files to flash LOS+ Gapps+ root
2. rebooted into recovery TWRP and took a nandroid backup into sd card
3. wiped Cache , data, dalvik etc.. DO NOT WIPE SD CARD. (I did not wipe the internal storage by choice
4. flashed LOS.zip file from sd card and Gapps (one by one)
Rebooted and the initial setup takes some time but be patient.

Problems I have (nothing major)
1. the screen glitches every time after a restart but gets rectified when I lock and unlock the device. Not a huge deal as it gets fixed after screen lock
2. FM radio does not work

Try flashing LOS once more as there are no bugs related to Bluetooth.
as for boot animation, it might be related to your display (might not show up on 3rd party displays) in which you can try changing it into a custom boot animation and see if that shows up.

Hello! First of all, congratulations for all your work. A question, this ROM could be installed in a Grand 2 SM-G7105? I have Lineage 14 installed with Android 7.1 and I would be interested to know if the SM-G7105 could have Andoid 9 or if there is something newer. Thank you very much, greetings!

After installation "Bluetooth keeps stopping" message appears constantly and makes the device useless. Bluetooth is not working entirely. it doesn't turn on. I've also flashed the stock ROM and then flashed lineage after that but it didn't help. other things work as normal but the Bluetooth message appears every second. first time that I installed lineage everything was working but I wanted to change something. then I installed stock ROM. everything was working. then I installed lineage and Bluetooth was gone! PLS help me. I'm new to flashing ROMs.

random reboot happens one time a day approximately. how can I provide a logcat when I don't know when it reboots?
I was on baseband G7102XXUBOF1 which I flashed Bangladesh stock ROM and changed it to G7102DDUBNK1 then I installed lineage on it.

    No Bug! :D
Facing just one problem. When I Switch on the phone No Boot Animation Shows. Anyone facing same problem? :(
But Finally It's Official LOS for Grand 2. :good:

Hi, so I have heard of this problem and its seems that guys with unofficial screens or panels are facing this, as of now there is no fix to it and I believe it has to do with the kernel-side as we are using a common kernel configured to work with the other MSM8226-Samsung family devices and I will try to fix ASAP so you guys can have the full experience:eek::eek:
