Can both of you confirm if VoLTE works on your device?

Either via the HD icon showing when you make a call OR dial *#*#4636#*#* > Phone info > 3 dot > IMS Service Status.

hedge can you also try reseting your APN settings?
VoLTE has always been good for me. So do I choose Reset to Default in APN settings?

Nevermind I selected Reset to Default and rebooted. I will let ya know if I notice any changes! Thanks man.

The 20.0 upgrade from 19.1 went all smooth, just like any other upgrade.
Everything works like 19.1 (still have the SMS not sending issue), but the standby battery consumption seems to have vastly improved.
Battery life is great with this new build.

Can you perhaps grab your carrier's APN settings from their website and manually inputting them? Or verify the currently used APN has the correct MMS/MMSC entries?

My carrier (US Mobile) is a MVNO, they use Verizon as their backbone.
My phone seems to auto-choose the Verizon APN.
Looking at its settings, they don't seem to match what my carrier lists as its APN setting:

But I can't add a new APN nor edit any available APN on my phone. All the fields are greyed out except the APN name field.
The 3-dot menu only gives me a "Save" and "Cancel" option when trying to edit the APN settings.
On the APN selection screen, the 3-dot menu only has 1 option: "Reset to default".

I'd like to try my carrier settings but there's just no way for me to input them =/

Hrm, the config for Verizon when detected locks out editing :(

I will try and remove those restrictions from the configs next update.

Yes it looks like on the Essential, CDMA carriers APN settings are locked.
Saw in another thread that you can actually remove your sim card and pop in a GSM one (even one non activated), and then it lets you add/edit APN settings.
I did that and while it did let me add a new APN, this new APN got cleared out as soon as I poped in back my CDMA sim card

I already enabled edits a few day ago: https://github.com/Divested-Mobile/DivestOS-Build/commit/baa0252c6b126c159a93fc327540ed45cfd7bb24

But here now I've removed the carrier specific imposed restrictions: https://github.com/Divested-Mobile/DivestOS-Build/commit/19d5f73b501d69a8d6268cc249765953466ff75f

On 20.0 I personally have no issues sending or receiving on my mata, and I have a report of the same from a user in the chatroom.

Please try to set a more accurate APN for your carrier if you can edit yours, or wait until next update which fully enables edits.

A new build is up with edit restrictions removed, please try it.
Ok, so:
- When adding a new APN with the now accessible "+" button, I enter all the info, but after tapping "Save", well, the new APN doesn't appear in the list. So my guess is that new APNs don't get saved?
- Since I couldn't create a new one, I tried editing the current Verizon one. But after tapping "Save", the Verizon APN disappeared from the list.
The phone still worked fine, I could still make calls, receive them and receive SMS, but still couldn't send SMS.

Rebooted, no changes.
Went back to the APN list, hit the 3-dot menu and "Reset to default" to bring back the original Verizon APN.

All in all, still can't set a custom APN.

To be fair, the APN settings from my carrier might be for GSM anyway.
My carrier offers 2 sim cards, one GSM and one CDMA. Depending on which sim card you use, they assign you to either T-Mobile (GSM) or Verizon (CDMA).
Since they expect the CDMA users to not be able to set up/modify APN settings, I'm more inclined to believe the settings they advertise are for the GSM users (even though they don't specifically mention it) where there are no APN restrictions.

Thank you for testing, sad that it didn't fix the edit issue entirely.

Perhaps if coverage isn't an issue, maybe you can switch to their GSM SIM?
Coverage is an issue unfortunately.
My carrier heavily favors Verizon anyway. When you setup the carrier, they recommend using the CDMA sim card because it has all the bells and whistle (5G, etc...).
Anyway, not a big deal. I rarely use SMS anyway, and even if I do, it's on the receiving end, which work fine.
If I really have to send a SMS, I use my 2nd VOIP number, which I can send from the cheogram voip client.

Thanks for you help :)

I can confirm same thing with newest update regarding Verizon not working still. Unable to send messages or edit/save APN.

Hello. I have Divest os 19.1 firmware installed. I installed the firmware via fastboot. After installation, I flashed the kernel with magisk. After the release of Divest os 20, I decided to update also via fastboot, having previously reset to factory settings. During the firmware, an error occurred installing files (boot, system, and others). It feels like the file system is mounted read-only or the loader is locked. Also, it is not possible to return to the factory firmware, the phone is not restored. Please tell me how to solve my problem with the firmware.
