From what I read and understood, you cant jump from a 4.3 bootloader to a 4.4+ OS.
Also read and understood that upgrading from 4.3 to Lollipop to Marshmallow was recommended over jumping from 4.3 straight to 6.x.
Also, no place i searched for has all the resources needed for this specific upgrade path in a single post.
Oh! And because I'm very analytic and slightly paranoid about losing my data. :D

I'm on 4.4.2, so I shouldn't have to go this route then?

Again, many thanks and gratitude to @kevp75 for a great ROM and fantastically keeping it up to date. A donation is on its way.

Took a few days to finalize, so here's how I got my Stock, rooted Note3 on 4.3 up to (the current Marshmallow 6.0.1) date.
(* Your Mileage may vary. This worked for my phone, it *may not* work for yours. I am not responsible for any negative issues that may occur on your phone. I just want to share what worked for me for this specific upgrade path *)

From Note 3 (SM-N900T *ONLY*) 4.3 Rooted Stock With stock recovery:

*** FILE PREPARATION PHASE ***
>>Download the following files and place them where stated.
>Place following files on your PC:
TWRP 2.8.7.0 Bootloader 4.3
[https://dl.twrp.me/hltetmo/twrp-2.8.7.0-hltetmo-4.3.img.tar.html]
TWRP 2.8.7.0 Bootloader 4.4
[https://dl.twrp.me/hltetmo/twrp-2.8.7.0-hltetmo-4.4.img.tar.html]
ODIN 3.11.1 (or latest version)
Stock 5.0 Lollipop Rom in ODIN flashable format (**unzip .zip file for .tar file to be used by ODIN**)
Stock 4.3 ROM (just in case you need to go back to your 4.3 original TWRP backup)
({the following 4.3 restore process is **ABSOLUTE SPECULATION** as I have **NOT* done this: follow at your own risk } in case of catastrophic botch, to restore your original 4.3 TWRP backup, I think you: DOWNLOAD Mode > ODIN > 4.3 Stock Rom > Reboot > Power Off > DOWNLOAD Mode > ODIN > Flash TWRP 2.8.7.0 Bootloader 4.3 > Reboot > Power Off > RECOVERY Mode > Format > Restore original 4.3 backup > Reboot > Wait 20 mins for your restore to settle.)

>Place following files on your Note 3 External SD Card:
Dominion S7 Edge V4 ROM (2016.07.06) in post #1 of this thread (if the ROM has updated past V4, you *may* need more steps than shown below)
Stock 4.3 ROM (just in case you need to go back to your 4.3 original TWRP backup)

*** INITIAL BACKUP PHASE ***
Copy the contents of your Internal Phone storage to a backup source (*PC, external Hard Drive, etc)
(Yes, this *will* take "forever". DO IT ANYWAY. In case the upcoming TWRP backups fail or are inaccessible, you have the actual files copied and backed up somewhere and easily accessible.)

*** INSTALLATIONS PHASE ***
DOWNLOAD Mode > Odin > Flash TWRP 2.8.7.0 for KitKat 4.3 (In case I need to come back to my original 4.3)
Reboot > Power Off
RECOVERY Mode > TWRP Backup to External SD Card
Reboot > Power Off
DOWNLOAD Mode > Odin > Flash TWRP 2.8.7.0 for KitKat 4.4
Reboot > Power Off
DOWNLOAD Mode > ODIN > Install Stock Lollipop (with FOL1) ***find .tar or .md5 file!!!***
Reboot > Android Lollipop Upgrading process > Let sit for 15 mins > Power Off
DOWNLOAD Mode > Odin > Flash TWRP 2.8.7.0 for KitKat 4.4 (because Lollipop replaced Recovery)
Reboot > Power Off
RECOVERY Mode > TWRP Backup to External SD Card (because I'm paranoid!)

[Follow instructions in Post #1 of this thread]
YOU NEED TO AT LEAST BE ON A 4.4 BOOTLOADER
BACKUP YOUR APPS
MAKE A NANDROID AS WELL
BACKUP YOUR INTERNAL SD
Boot to recovery
Format Data (not just Wipe)
Format System
Format Cache
Install Rom
Reboot
Wait 15 minutes
Install relevant updates
Reboot
Setup, and make sure to select 'No Thanks' to Samsung
Add your Provider APN
PROFIT!

*** CELEBRATION PHASE ***
Enjoy Marshmallow 6.0.1 on your 2013 Note 3

!

awesome mate! :D

if you decide to flash any rom; lollipop and up... i would highly recommend being on at least the latest bootloader and modem first. (FOL1 for us on the n900t)

the odin flash mentioned should do the trick... but also returns you to a stock install, so youll need to root... get twrp... etc...

doesnt take me longer than a half hour to run the whole gammut.

It requires constant repeating as people don't pay attention and do they're due diligence around here........
You know people asking the same question several times even on the same page .Here's some examples- do I have to upgrade to lollipop to flash this rom?
What's Odin? Why doesn't TWRP 3.0 and higher work for me .
How many times in the last 20 pages have any of these questions been asked?

let me put it another way...

if anyone tries to flash this rom WITHOUT at least updating to a lollipop bootloader and modem I will NOT support you when something goes wrong.

My apologies for not understanding.

I thought 4.4 would have a 4.4 bootloader and that that was the requirement as stated in the first post.

Is that not true?

I guess it could be equal parts lazy and people that don't speak English as their first language, but seriously all it takes is some time reading or using the search function and the answer(s) will almost always show up.
I know that when I was researching your ROM Kev, I spent weeks reading through the forums to make sure I knew what could happen as far as issues and how to fix them. I do that for every device I'm about to root/ROM. That way when I do finally post, it's usually to help someone rather than ask for help.

The part about being lazy is almost always the case. You can tell when people don't even try using the search function. At least 90% of the time the answer can be found by searching. I used to be so much more active in troubleshooting but it is so annoying answering the same stuff over and over, so I just don't answer at all most of tiger time now.

How do I turn off the flashing LED dude. It's driving me insane!

It freakin kills me when people ask this question and are being serious! It's not even fun anymore using the long running joke that the government is coming because of the LED. Haha
Seeing the question about ShadowLED is one of those moments you wish it was possible to punch people through the internet. Lmao

Great S7 port. Just installed and noticed that the "Sort" function in "Contacts" doesn't work. I tried to toggle between sort by last name and first name and it doesn't do anything. Also tried to change the "name format" from first, last to last, first, and nothing happened.

Dominion settings also has a bug: Under "statusbar settings" toggling the "stock battery" option doesn't hide the stock battery.

Also, I don't think Call Recorder (under Dominion Settings) is working for both incoming and outgoing calls.

Welcome to another installment in the DomPop Family of roms
presented to you by Team DomPop

I appreciate the 'family' I have gathered here in the Note 3 fourms, and while I will still be around, I have decided to switch to LG (probably either the V10 or G4/G5).
As a result, I will not longer be able to develop for this great device.
Thanks again, and I wish you all luck :D

    MY CONFIG:
These are merely my recommendations. Others may have better configs for them, but this works for me, and works very well for me. This gets me in between 5-6 days worth of battery for normal usage. 2-3 for my normal moderate usage. All without sacrificing performance.

    • Turn On 'Mobile Data'
    • Configure your APN
      - If it does not appear to save for you, take my word for it, it's there
    • Choose 'Network Provider'
    • Add your account(s)
    • Set up the rest as you normally would
    • Grab Titanium Backup from Play Store, install, and restore your apps, when done, reboot
    • Open Tibu and Batch process convert your db's to WAL mode
    • Open a root explorer and browse to /sbin/dp_cleaner, and let it execute. Most root file explorers will do it's thing and show you the output
    • Reboot
    • Leave the Kernel Config alone.
      - Tho, you could underclock to 1.9Ghz and get alot better battery, you may lose a little performance
    • Buy, Install, & Configure Greenify from PlayStore

    DOMINATOR KERNEL
I can't get this to build right anymore (mostly because I lost all the source, and the PC it was sitting on during my move)
If anyone wants to take a stab at it, here is the source
    SOURCE: https://bitbucket.org/kpirnie/dominator-kernel-n900t
And here is what I did to it
    • Added a ton of new Frequencies
    • Updated Interactive Gov, and dumped alot of other govs
    • Dumped alot of I/O shcedulers
    • Added in my tweaks

    ON DECK
    Official Dominion Theme
    - - Yes, it will be dark & evil ;)
    - - And named Marine for all my fellow servicemen and women :D
