Reboot to recovery
Make nandroid backup (Not Necessary)
Wipe System, Data, Cache, Dalvik
Flash the latest build and GApps
Reboot

DIRTY FLASH :
Download the latest build
Reboot to recovery
Flash the latest build
Wipe Cache
Reboot

Note: GApps only has to be flashed once whereas Magisk/Su is to be flashed every time you Dirty Flash the OTA Update.

Nice rom. Cover most of the usual eye candy features, very smooth.

Few bugs I notice can't use pie quickstep with launcher other than the default 1. Q-lock uses 4 lines which looks a bit weird. OnePlus screen-off gestures don't work.

This is the wrong question in a ROM-thread. All developers do what they think is best for the ROM they produce. It is not fair to
compare in there own thread. There are threads which deal with your question...

Would love to try the rom but no matter what i try (i am on 9.0.8) i get no wifi connection or mobile connection
setup also takes forever to go to the homescreen, i have no more ideas what to try.
