LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

Code:
#include
/*
 * Your warranty is now void.
 *
 * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
 * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
 * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
 * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
 * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
 *
 */

Tried installing just the ROM and Android 10 Beta gapps (stock and mini)., with and without Magisk as a fresh installation. it keeps kicking me back to TWRP....gonna try a fresh install of LOS16 to see if its just me
flash codex's latest TWRP, ive heard people with same issue tried it and it worked for them.

cool thanks! that semi worked. 1st attempt w/ gapps and 2nd attempt w/o gapps allowed the rom to boot but within a couple of minutes into setup, steps the phone stopped working then the phone would auto-restart into recovery
try clean flash, boot (without gapps), as soon as you see the welcome screen, reboot, flash gapps (ideally mini or micro), and reboot. after that, try magisk and/or other stuff.

i think there's some issue detecting my SIM card from Vodafone PT. doenst ask me for a PIN, and like previous users reported, after a minute or two, phone restarts to recovery. maybe we need a full wipe.

@codeworkx any idea about this?

regards

edit: fixed. had to restore my original EFS.
