Hello
I would like to flash this rom .
But the installation method given is outdated.
I am currently on OOS 10 with decrypted .
I would like to flash the official Linage OS 17.1 with following steps

1. Wipe except storage
2. Flash LOS 17.1
3. Flash G apps
4. Flash magisk

Reboot .
Do I need to flash no verity for decryption at the end and did I miss something ?

Flashing hasn't changed in over 10 years AFAIK so shouldn't have changed. Always check MD5 before flashing anything

Hello,

im on the official lineage 16 rom with encrypted main partion and TWRP3x/ Magesik 20.
As mentioned i need " the latest firmware (10.0.0-H1)" but the links which are provided her are dead.

Is it possible that i simply
upgrade my TWRP
flash the new firmware ((10.0.0-H1)
flash the new official lineage 17.1
flash Magisk

reboot ? or is there a other approach due to encryption ?

Echoing this. My device just recently started getting 17.1 builds of LineageOS, but I am unable to update without at least firmware version 10.0.1. Where can such be found? I don't want to install OxygenOS, as I really do not want to wipe my device.

10.0.1 fw : https://sourceforge.net/projects/lineageos-cheeseburger/files/firmware/dumpling/
==> In TWRP, flash 10.0.1 fw and then the latest official build.

Hello

After so many years I flashed a rom on my 5t: I really needed some more tweaks!

My only BIG problem is that I don't like at all the color profiles compared to the stock: either they are blue or they go on yellow.

I deactivated the LiveDisplay not to go crazy with the Kelvin gradation but... I think I need your feedback to come back to see the white colors... white! and not yellow or blue!

Thanks

I just installed this ROM. all looks good.
1)installed the Nikita 7.4.104-v2.0 + Nik-2.0.xml
When I press the 1x & 2x there is no effect they are both the same.

2) Is it possible to install the original OnePlus camera?

also:

3) Is there an option for connected Bluetooth devices to have a battery bar near the Bluetooth icon?

4) Way in the past there was an app, very like the "Permission manager", that allowed to deny an app from starting at boot time. is there an option to do so in LineageOS?

1) I believe you're talking about the GCAM? You may need to start a new topic for that or browse the forum. This is all ROM related stuff so not sure how much you can get out of it here.

2) I have not been successful in running any OnePlus app on a non oneplus ROM. I believe there may have been a magisk module that solves that. Though unsure if the camera will even work but other apps may.

3) works fine for me. are you running latest LOS 8 dec release?

4) I don't think this is used anymore in ROMs. What are you trying to achieve? afaik you can only manipulate app runtimes with the "battery optimisation" option. Unfortunately this will affect the app in total and not just during boot. Otherwise you may want to look into apps like greenify which typically allow granular controls.

Somewhere during my install process things went wrong and now I'm stuck.

I had followed the instructions and had LineageOS 17.1 installed and running, along with Magisk. I then realized that I didn't have Gapps so I quickly downloaded the ARM64, Android 10, Stock Gapps and headed back to TWRP to flash it. The phone didn't boot after nearly 10 minutes so I did a hard restart. Again the phone didn't boot. I decided that I would just wipe the phone again and get back to a bootable state without Gapps for the time being. I went into TWRP did a full wipe and went to install OxygenOS and LineageOS again except that every folder and file was now displaying as jumbled characters. So now I'm stuck since I can't boot since there is no OS installed and I can't flash anything because everything is jumbled. I did not have any screen lock set up (having a screen lock is the only other time I've seen this) during any of this.

Did I just screw myself and lose everything on my phone?

Probably, the encryption seems messed up. You might get lucky if you could flash from a usb stick. But mostly a format data = everything gone would solve it.

Thats what I was afraid of. Thanks though!

-----------------------

Edit: I wanted to update you and let you know that an install from a USB stick did manage to decrypt all the files as well as get my phone booting again. So thank you very much! You definitely saved me from what could have been a huge headache.

Hi, I'm currently using Oneplus 5t, with the latest official Lineageos (17.1, not rooted). Since I switched from Oxygeos, I started having problems with the phone freezing. It shows completely black screen and the notification light is static white. Phone can be restarted with holding power button for a moment.

This freezing happens at random times, usually being in screen lock. I have tried: clean re-install, updating lineageos. Also tried twrp recovery but came back to lineage recovery.

I tried searching for similar issues and most guesses were about hardware issues. Is there anything I can do to fix this issue? I never had such issues with oxygenos or any other roms I've used in the past.

edit: I've used this rom for few months now and always updated to the latest version but during this time the freezing has continued. Somedays it won't freeze for once and other days it may freeze twice a day.

This thread is obsolete :

For your problem, try to install another version of Gapps because some releases are buggy.

Strongly recommended ... Nano package : https://sourceforge.net/projects/op...o-20201223.zip/download?use_mirror=autoselect

Note: If you opt to use Open GApps, they offer a variety of sizes of packages that include and overwrite different apps. We only recommend package sizes up through nano, as described in Open GApps Package Comparison. If you use a larger package, we can not guarantee that everything will function on your device, as in many of these cases our included apps are overwritten in favor of the Google App equivalents .... (https://wiki.lineageos.org/gapps.html).

    LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

    All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

    Code:
    #include
    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

    Alright guys, here's a first round of comments after having tried it in the last 5 hours.

    1. Flashing TWRP
    I had problem flashing latest codex's twrp: twrp-3.3.1-20190908-0-codeworkx-signed-forcedecrypt-dumpling.img
    It gave me seg fault, so I tried codex's twrp-3.3.1-1-20190713-codeworkx-dumpling.img

    2. Setting up
    I managed to succesfully flash LineageOS, but I can't seem to get past through the setup process with gapps installed, so I had to go through the setup process without gapps then flash gapps after.

    3. Root
    I am a big fan of Magisk, but unfortunately flashing Magisk v19.4 got me stuck in booting. I usually did fingerprint spoofing through magisk module, so thus far, I cannot get my safetynet check passed. Which means no Google Pay, but I don't use it anyway.
    Also I usually apply DotFix for GCam through Magisk, so I had to give up my camera too, not too much a drama since I don't take pictures anyway.

    4. Encryption
    Good thing is this unofficial release does have encryption if I set up lock pattern. However, my TWRP can't seems to decrypt it. I treid both twrp-3.3.1-1-20190713-codeworkx-dumpling.img and BluSpark's latest TWRP but to no avail. This means everytime I need to flash something, I'll have to remove my lock.

    5. In phone quirks
    After setting up my phone for a few hours, I found out a few small issues such as
    * Not able to unlock screen with fingerprint - Suddenly magically working
    * Digital Wellbeing not working and sometimes pop up saying that it crashes (possibly from beta gapps)
    * Circle battery not working :crying:
    * Battery percentage not showing
    * I can't change accent colour, it defaults to the grey-ish colour

    6. The awesomeness
    These are the things I have found thus far working for me:
    * The new gesture! Wohoo!
    * Double tap to wake! God bless that feature!
    * Full Dark theme! Finally!
    * Alert slider!
    * WearOS
    * Long press power for torch! Yay!
    * Network speed indicator!

    Edit:
    How rude of me for not showing appreciation to codeworkx's work!

    A big thank you to codeworkx for all his hardwork and effor for the community! You are much loved by everyone here man! May this year and every future years always be a blast for you!

    Update:
    My fingerprint unlock suddenly magically worked!
