3G speeds before dialing *22899:
300 Kbps down, 100 up

After:
700 down, 300 up

Same location at home

Only problem is I don't remember the stats from when I tested EC09 so I have no point of comparison. Of course, my numbers aren't going to compare with any of yours, because our speeds depend on so many different variables like location and other electronic signals in the vicinity, even the weather. So the takeaway from this: don't bother comparing your speeds with each other, but do dial *228 or *22899 after flashing the modem.

Has anyone seen John Connor?

Is it normal for the call to *22899 to be very brief, as if aborted, indicate call lost, and end without requiring a reboot? This has been my experience over many ROMs for quite a while now. I get the impression it isn't working for me.

I hope you make good progress on mods for this rom. devs dont seem to get enough credit. im always up for new roms. i will be debloating after i flash if you are interested in banchmark result's. just let me know, i will run sample's through both Quadrant, and AnTuTu, about 10-15 each. if you are interested in bloat/debloat results let me know.

Take a look at the official Epic 4G gingerbread release EI22:

Quadrant score of over 1700

Yeah I didn't mean it to cone out as being surprised, I knew the droid charge during one if its many many gb leaks jumped from 1000 to 1500...then again from 1500 to 1800

I meant to imply that maybe rfs performance was finally catching up for the I500

I kind of wish EH03 used that exact same battery meter.

Do you think they will ever release a performance patch for us yielding us scores of 1700s/1800s? I mean if the Droid Charge and Epic 4G which run on the same hardware as our phone can do it, why shouldn't they release one that gets scores of around that high :)

I'm curious to know if Verizon/Samsung worked on the battery life.

its just advances in the builds and kernels really

the charge had so many test/engineering builds (epic 4g as well for a year almost) that it showed a real effort on samsung/carrier to get it right (although they still dont apparently have the charge right w/ no eta)

id have to think verizon had more builds between ec09 and eh03, im just not specifically aware of what they entailed...i know about a month ago some folks (nameless) had a 2.3.5 vzw build, and it had to be different than eh03 (or should have been giving 11/3 as the date for eh03) but idk

we ll see...the charge has 2.3.6 builds and the i9000 iirc has 2.3.7 builds floating around

You are the man Nitsuj17, I hope that I'm not being overly inquisitive. I do agree with you that carrier has a lot to do with it too. I don't think Verizon is doing as many extensive tests as Sprint.

Thank you Nitsuj17! I'm going to give "package A" a try while I wait for "package B". I really like the reboot options.
im like 90% done with the superclean version of the rom...

basically reboot options, improved tw3 launcher (ill make our tsm launcher2 and tw4launcher from resurrection available by patch), debloated, bing removed from system, de-binged browser, crt screen off animation are done so far

Sounds fantastic. Definitely miss TW4. Any chance of an accurate battery mod?

I second the accurate battery mod request. This could be a late night for me if it is released today.
it wont be out tonight for sure lol

but yeah i can make a quick accurate battery mod patch too

normally i would just focus on resurrection, but sbrissen is busy atm and i know a lot of people prefer clean roms to heavily modded ones
