Quick question about WIFI. My wifi keeps dropping it's connection after about 10 minutes. Is that a problem with the ROM or the Android OS in general? Now I don't mean when I'm not using it. When there is constant data flow from apt-get in debian, it still drops it for some reason. The WIFI symbol will still be there but there is no connection even though it says it's connected. I do have the newest radio update also.

I'm looking into DOHCtor.

I can't reproduce this problem ... I've tried ... but can't ... also ... is this a NANDROID restore ? or a fresh install this is occurring on ?

If the phone "goes to sleep" meaning the screen goes out and there is no UI activity, android will shut the wifi off, even if data is passing between it ...

One way to stop this behaviour (say during a long apt-get update or somethin) ...

Is go into settings -> applications -> development -> and check "Stay Awake" ... and then plug your phone into the charger ... it should stop this behaviour.

That's a nandroid restore. As I'm typing this, I'm doing a fresh install to test again.

Enom,

With a fresh install, I get the same results :(

This could be isolated to MT3G users? Can anyone with a 32B magic test this out?

edit: just noticed that dumbestcrayon is also a 32B Magic user. hmmm........

Why would it work on Cyan's build and not enom's.....

Theme Request????

Hey Enom,

Still taking requests for themes? If so can the "Enoch theme" from HERE, be ported over? It looks slick, Is there anyone else who likes it?

Thanks For Everything you do Enom.:)

This is in the original post (just kidding, sorry to give you a hard time, I am just in that kind of mood tonight). There is actually an easy fix for this, from the home screen, go to settings --> wireless settings --> Advanced (press menu for this option) --> wifi sleep policy --> never.

Anybody having troubles with the Market?? I tried with WIFI and with 3G and I'm getting a connection error. I was using it earlier. Everything else is working fine.

I noticed when i ran expansion 2.0.1 with the TheOfficial Hero Theme port it seem pretty slugish. Not really slow slow but there are noticable delays, especially opening setting menu(s) and messages.

I am currently running expansion 2.1.1 with no theme and it seem that the delay are less. I am not sure if it has anything to do with the theme or not. Does anyone know if flashing a theme will slow down the phone?

My setup:
- 8gb class 6 card (100 mb swap, 500 mb ext 3, the rest fat 32)
- Does not run the 10mb extra ram hack
- use Advanced Task Manager Free to end tasks

Super impressive, I went back to CM Eclair because CM6x was too bloaty and slow. This is the smoothest and fastest 2.2.x rom I've used, excellent work! Love the custom spare-parts app.

Only two glitches I found - Bluetooth doesn't seem to want to turn on, and the 3G for HSPA option doesn't do anything when ticked or unticked.

Thanks . ............... .... and thanks to ALL for the kind words :)

    And to ALL (status update)...

These are the (2) bugs I am verify-ing atm. ...

To be clear ... the 3g/hspa toggle is definitely broken ...

As far as the BlueTooth issue ... this only effects dreams (G1/HTCDream) ... sapphire is fine.

Will be making an effort to get these resolved as soon as humanly possible :)

Just wanted to update everyone! :)

Yeah, It's an Android Supplement Update (Security Update to be exact)

herm ... that's strange I never got prompt during testing ... really no need to update though ... it will only fail.

I must have "older" fingerprint keys in the build.prop's ... :/ ... will investigate further.
