I installed this rom recently, used twrp-3.3.1-0-athene with Arrow-v9.0-athene-OFFICIAL-20200129
installed arm gapps micro, but i am unable to add my google account or sign in from playstore.
i tried this method of setting 0.0.1 localhost (https://www.carlcare.com/global/tips-detail/how-to-fix-google-server-problem-android/)that didnt work,
tried installing latest versions of playstore and playservices but still it doesnt seem to work
also the android setup (on first boot) is stuck at preparing for setup in notifications since forever and wont go away ;/
can anyone help me ? i cannot seem to find the problem/reason

found the fix ..... just remove your simcard apprently .....

On wipe menu, you choose an partition and then you have an advanced options option to do that

Ok, so repair means wipe. Yes, I wiped those partitions first according to the installation instructions.
And the device had stock oreo before I rooted and installed custom rom. What's the purpose of installing the stock oreo again?

It could sound curious but in my case, flashing stock oreo again fixes some bugs, i had the same experience on an Moto G2 Titan

If you are using OpenGApps, try with an old version, those versions are on SourceForge

Alternatively you can use MindTheGapps

That's right, it also works when sim card doesn't get signal after changing to an rom or going back to stock ROM

Hmm, couldn't verify signature of stock rom. Tried both TWRP-athene-8.1.0-OPJ28.111.12 and TWRP-athene-8.1.0-OPJ28.111-22.

Well, if you have an signature verification option in TWRP for flashable zips of the rom, disable it to let TWRP flash them, but i recommend more the fastboot version of Stock Oreo since TWRP versions doesn't pass SafetyNet

Nope, this is for Moto G4, but i think ROMs from this link could work, only check for ROMs for your model, in case there are no ROMs for your model, i think there are no ROMs for your device

My problem was 32 bit twrp.
After installing 64 bit twrp watching this video -

I was able to install it.
Also was unable to install ARM64 gapps, but only 'ARM' gapps successfully installed.

Randomly mobile network dissapear.
I wish you continued working on Android 10 version of this. None of the other ROMs above android 8 comes close to this.

I havent messed with my moto g4 since 2020. What is the latest and best rom for this phone now? I remember nothing worked right on some roms. a link or any help would be amazing

You need to change messages app to Google one or an mod of the stock messages app

Also, this rom does have an bug, third party apps notifications are dark\black with dark text, so it's hard or even impossible to read them, happened to me on Facebook, Twitter and Telegram apps
