I am also not exited about kitkat but want a feature which is in kitkat, JB 4.3. The feature is that you can pull down the notification menu while playing games or any app.

I recommend these steps before wiping data

Hi,

Don't know why I did not mention this earlier, but here are 2 very useful apps for those flashing new ROMs after wiping data.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.riteshsahu.CallLogBackupRestore

This allows you to backup your call logs to sdcard, and restore them later (after flashing) .

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.riteshsahu.SMSBackupRestore

This allows you to backup your SMS messages to sdcard, and restore them later (after flashing) .

I have been using these apps for 2-3 years now. They are excellent and work exactly as described.

And for your apps, download root browser, go to /data/app and copy all the apks and paste them in any folder on your sdcard so that you can install them later

Maybe you should put up this info (and my post about call /SMS backup) on the OP.

It is quite frustrating to lose apps(these can even be installed again), calls & SMSs' (these are gone forever !)

@umangleekha Rom is working fine till now. One different thing I noticed is the option list when device is connected via USB. Previously one option was there like 'choose action' (I dont exactly remember

), inside it options were 'only charge', 'connect as data storage'. But know that option is not coming.

I liked that only charge option via USB. I am not sure whether in current version, its by default in only charging mode already until we turn on the data storage mode or there is no such facility in this version?

I prefer the black(dark) AOSP contacts theme more than the blue theme.

Can I flash the AOSP. zip file you had posted earlier ?

It has a dark theme.

Hi,

1.
Is it possible to change screen lock /unlock sounds?

2.
Is there a way to disable the warning pop up that appears (high volume may damage your hearing etc) when you try to increase earphone volume too high ?
The A120 volume is low as it is, and you have to take out your phone from your pocket to cancel this warning everytime, which is a pain.

For changing lock sounds, go to system/media/audio/ui/ replace lock.ogg with any other ogg file you like and restart

For that volume warning, use xposed + gravitybox

Hey umang just want to ask that can you do something with miui rom for our phone means rearrange or remove the miui bloatwares. I had used miui with xolo phone its nice. The main feature in it is notification menu can be pulled down any time while in game or app. 2nd is brightness scrolling works in it with mxplayer. And much more. Here's the link of miui for a120

5.Go to advance and wipe dalvik cache
6.Go to mounts and storage and format /system
7.Choose install zip from sdcard
8.Choose "A120_signed_EPIC_070814_171912.zip"
9.Reboot, I hope you like it

IMPORTANT Notes-

1.Turn off zero shutter lag in camera to make it smoother also you can change preview to fullscreen
2.Go to settings->Audio profiles and turn off audio enhancer because it's sh*t
3.Only APEX launcher is included, STOCK launcher flashable zip will be given later
4.You may post the name of any junk mmx app if you need it

Now you can touch the download button

After uninstall no issue .
