The easiest way is twrp recovery, download twrp, extract it, rename it to recovery.img , download vbmeta disabled img, rename it to vbmeta.img , tar these two img's together, then enter download mode, put that tar file on the AP slot if you're using Odin, un-tick reboot, after success, reboot to recovery by holding volume up and Bixby and Power until you get to the warning screen, then let go but keep volume up until you get into twrp, allow modifications, go to format, click yes, then lineage.

I'm having trouble installing the twrp recovery.
Can you guide me step by step. I don't need root for this correct?

I am not firm with Odin sorry. But shouldn't the recovery image be named "recovery.img" not like you did "recovery.img.img"

I extraded the tarfile which i had compressed with the vbmeta and recovery.img and they both are named properly when i make them a tar file odin in the flashing process shows them is img.img which is weird.

I can also confirm this. Watching videos on YouTube I have to max out the volume most of the time. In general any audio out via speaker is really low compared to stock. No real issues with headphones although still not as loud as stock.

I believe someone mentioned this is an issue with lineage in general so I ignored it and took it as a minor sacrifice. I have one s10e snap dragon running stock and another exynos on this rom if you'd like any comparison videos.

Haven't you experienced a low mic volume too? Especially in camcorder move.

If this old LOS issue could be fixed, it would be great.

Yes the overall volume is lower compared to samsung rom. I was testing it on calls video and sound in general i would says its about 35% lower.

Good catch, yes low mic volume too. I find with this rom I'm basically always using headphones to listen to anything unless ambient noise is low or non existent.

Other issue already mentioned is the proximity sensor during calls. I've lost count how many times I've accidentally muted myself.

Solid ROM otherwise.

Update & internal audio super low

Hello All,

Just wondering, update from one version to one other will make me delete everything on the phone during the flashing?

Phone calls are almost impossible to hear, even setting up the volume to maximum I barely hear the person speaking. For a phone it's kind of pity to not being able to communicate.

Cheers!

Once you have LineageOS installed once, you can always update without loosing any data (unless you screw it up ;) )

I have no problem controlling the volume during a phone call. I can make it louder and quieter without any issue. Is your (radio) firmware up to date?
