I think the problem depends in the Google Play Protect certification. At the play store my device is shown as not play protect certified. Dont know if it is possible to get it certified. It would be very nice to use the pushtan app in the phone :)
Hi guys, I've just installed this awesome ROM on my S10E. I've had LineageOS on my Xiaomi Mi6 for a long time, so I'm a bit familiar with the software. I noticed I couldn't use one of my banking apps even though I'm not rooted. I noticed the Play Protect certification wasn't working and searched this thread on the issue.
This post has never been answered, so I'm also wondering: is this expected behavior, or did I do something wrong while installing this ROM?
--edit--
Right, I missed a bit of the third post, shame on me!
Can I use GPay? What about other banking apps
GPay as well as some other banking apps check if the device passes safetynet and will not start if it doesn't. Safetynet fails when the bootloader is unlocked and therefore this ROM will not run GPay and other applications that need it. This official LineageOS statement explains why safetynett will never by bypassed (by default).
Didn't know about this, to be honest. On my Xiaomi I've also unlocked my bootloader and its Play Store is certified, strange...

Anybody else unable to get Magisk root to work? I followed the instructions (flash Magisk boot image with Heimdall), but after a reboot Magisk is not installed. I had Magisk working with the previous version of this ROM.

Some applications with nfc payment support work perfectly (Root, MicroG, Magisk Hide Props)

I was successful by flashing magisk.img via twrp into boot :good: Be sure to use the correct magisk file corresponding to the LOS version.

Yeah, I've had Magisk a while ago on the Xiaomi, but even without that, my Play Store was certified on LOS. I don't want to root my Samsung, but weirdly enough I might need to, just to get around the root detection :)

Today I updated from 1.0 to 1.2 and like the previous update, it all went quite smoothly. Last time I forgot to change the passcode, but after several tries I got in. So this time I also took the risk, and I can report that after several complete shutdowns (as apposed to reboots) I was able to login using my usual pin.

I downloaded the firmware with Frija and modified that. In case anybody wants it, please find my version in either of the links below:

I am so close to being able to install LOS but I cannot get into recovery. I press Bixby+Vol up+power and my stupid phone boots to TWRP over and over and over. Ideas?
Well, TWRP is the recovery. Did you mean download mode maybe? For this, press Bixby+Vol down, and insert the usb cable in your phone, previously connected to your computer at the other end.

Oh yes, sorry! You are right. I have not realised that there was already v21. I am still on 20.4, works for me. :fingers-crossed:
we will upgrade magisk (which has to be directly added to the boot image) once it is out of beta - which 21.0 is.

Sent from my SM-G970F using XDA Labs

What is the way to go for Microg ?
Iam preparing to change over from ivans LOS version and there I used the nanodroid packages to patch signature spoofing support and install microg itself. Will it work the same way with this rom ?
Btw.: dti8 firmware packages are missing (or I just did look at the wrong place :))
