The problem is . more people would build for it, especially those of us who run linux but the thing is i already tried... I need some serious hand holding when it comes about building this baby...

I am pretty sure if we could get one or two devs to show us step by step how to do it we would be able to..

I am not ashamed to recognize i went to the http://developer.sonymobile.com/ope...uild-aosp-nougat-for-unlocked-xperia-devices/ . followed the instructions and i failed ..

My builds always failed and invariably i would always get annoyed and then bored...

Oh well,

Edit : There are no official builds from Lineage yet, but the code is available and some people have been making builds successfully already for some devices. The main problem for SONY devices is basically that there are no maintainers, unfortunately; so if somebody has any of these ( Z, Z2, Z3, etc...) and can spare resources and time, I'm sure both Lineage team members and users would be very happy. It's a shame that something like the Z3 is still stuck on 5.1.1 ( CM 12 ) for instance, just because no one is building for it. If even the Z can run 7.1.1 fine, what a waste that Z3 or Z5 don't. Anyway, PSA over.

Oh well,
The wiki for CM had instructions to build, but the company shut it down along with everything else, they didn't even keep it up until today as they said they would, so thanks for that too...

As soon as the Lineage wiki is up that should be in there. If I recall correctly, every device had instructions for it.

Also, maybe ask in the newly opened LineageOS XDA forum ?

( Unfortunately I don't have time or resources at the moment, all I can do is donate money, as I did years ago before CyanogenMod became what it did. )

Really!!! Just change name? Not fix bug?
No, it means the same developers are working on it, and the rom uses the same code as before, but it's not called CyanogenMod anymore.

It's LineageOS now. Development continues, new features and fixes will come like they always have.

Please search threads in XDA for more information about this, or go to lineageos.org.
