Around a year back you mentioned here https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-sp/orig-development/5-1-1-cyanogenmod-12-1-t3096100/post65453729#post65453729, that RAW image wasn't developed bcs. there where more important things to do.
Since I have some programming skills and you didn't say it was impossible I was wondering how hard it would be (I'd like to do it, not know but I'd be on my list of stuff to do).

8960 Sony devices have outdated Camera stacks, unsupported camera sensor, using HAL1 and everything's closed-source prebuilt blobs from Stock 4.3.
Hacking around the camera to try getting something even close to RAW would be an absolute waste of time imho, sorry.

Wait what about other Xperias with the same camera, that are one here at Sony's open-source project (if any have the same cam, but some have at least the same resolution (search for 8MP).

My phone is now very stuttering, unresponsive, since last 2 weeks.

I am sure it has something to do with google play , as I have not much lag before.

This is totally the end of SP for me, as Lineage is still in Nightly.

That's 100% you'll brick your Xperia SP if you don't read the instructions properly before you do anything stupid.
And from the question you asked, you didn't search before post.
There's plenty of tutorial out there, try Google it.

GPS is perfect for me and I use it every day, can't tell for now.
Neither for awake, for now I'm getting my best battery lifetimes & no deep-sleep issue.

Small screenshot of tonight's work on 7.1 ;).

New 14.1 build coming soon, with various improvements and working camcorder.

As always, DO NOT forget to upgrade GApps to 7.1 too.

PS: Build restarted because camcorder commits were missing somehow.
