How to instal from older nightowl version ?

This is no update for NightOwl cm 12.1!

This is a cm11 kitkat based version.

To install it you should format your /system partition in the recovery und do a factory reset.
After this you can install the rom and the gapps

So I switched from my LP nightowl to this one 2 days ago. It feels slightly faster and battery lasts a little longer as well. Gonna stay with this now for a while.

Will it stuck on the n7000 logo or do you get a bootloop on the Bootanimation?

The preload partition format error is normal on newer recoveries and will not break anything.

Did you try "clean to install a new rom" in philz recovery before you installed the rom and the gapps?

I had similar experience which turn out to be due to a bad download. I had to restore the old rom, redownload file and reflesh. It works fine then.

Yeah I Used "Clean To Insta New ROM" then tried but the thing is that it took too long at the boot animation , the boot animation kept on running but still i will try to redownload

The first boot can take a few minutes

Thanks bauner and forest1971 i successfully flashed the rom it was due to corrupted download

Now i had another question
That is

I noticed that my note's wifi always show one point less in wifi range indicator(near network signal) and even if i stand extremely close to wifi like less than 1 metre then also it shows 3 out of 4 point and due to this my wifi disconnects in a shorter range
Hope you understand what i am saying
Plz help me

Art is beta in kitkat and it is possible that you can have problems with it.
You also should only try it if you have repartitioned your /data partition because the apps will use much more space with art

Compared to which rom your have a lower wifi signal?
I can currently only compare it with my oneplus one. There it is mostly the same signal strenght and sometimes it is better on the n7000

No i am just saying i am not having full signal strength even if i stand near to wifi

I've used this rom last two days. No problems, stable, good performance and great battery life. But i feel NightOwl LP 5.1.1 a little smoother, although two roms are very close.

Try reflashing that modem, or an older version. If it doesn't work, you might want to have someone check if it's a hardware problem.
