I am having totally random crashes of apps. Sometimes it's Gmail, sometimes the systemui and sometimes any app without any reason.I have now run the phone for a while and things worked well until the 17th of October (which is about 5 days) when things started to freeze again. So I did remove the PowerAmp widget and things started to work again, until today when it started to freeze again. All I did was sitting undecided what to do while flipping back and forth between two desktops. Then it started to freeze with Trebuchet crashing.
So while I can say that the PowerAmp widget does contribute to the freezing issues of Trebuchet or whatever is involved with the freezes, I cannot say that it is causing it.
Let's try with that later build of gapps that is mentioned above ...

This battery drain is very high.edit 2:
So I've been running it a couple of hours and needed to charge it twice already! I lost 13% in about 20 minutes with normal use. The device's performance has been unstable. Sometimes fast, other times stuck. As I'm writing this I couldn't get the screen back on so I had to remove the battery and after the reboot the battery level has dropped from 81 to 65%!
As far as apps go, I installed just the basics, nothing fancy or really demanding of the phone's functionality. 3g is off, wifi is on, brightness is set to low and I'm currently running a wakelock detector.
And there's the other thing, the device is running quite hot sometimes. I'm not sure why and can't discover any ongoing process that might be responsible.
Do any of you know what is going on?
Thanks very much for the reply. This battery drain is very high.
Because of the high battery drop on the reboot maybe your battery is not the best anymore? Did you have screen flickering on low battery before?
For the performane maybe it needs some time to get better. Do you have many media files on your sdcard?
The indexing service can take some time if you have many photos on your sdcard this can be the reason for the temperature and slow reaction. But it should be done after a few hours. Thanks very much for the reply.
The battery is actually fairly new, 6 months and an original from Samsung. I bought a new one because my actual high end fell and became to an early end unfortunately. The flickering does happen whenever the brightness is set on high and it is reducing from 15% to less. Whenever the brightness isn't set on high it only happens when it reaches about 4%. As far as media goes, I have a couple of albums on there, nothing major though (400mb or so) but I do have quite a lot of photo's on the sd. Is it the indexing that might cause the heat?
I mentioned the wake lock earlier, there is nothing out of the ordinary and it did go to a deep sleep. It maintained it's level at that time pretty well but after a quick use it dropped again with 10% and for some strange reason it couldn't recognize apps that I had transferred to the sdcard.
Pff batteries are always an issue, lol. I'm going to do a fresh re-install with an empty sdcard and or try 5.1. Thanks very much for all your effort, I really appreciate it!The indexing service can take some time if you have many photos on your sdcard this can be the reason for the temperature and slow reaction. Screen flickering on low battery is mostly caused from a bad battery. This can also be the reason for the battery drop on a reboot.
The problem is that many samsung batteries are fakes and the real original ones are very old.
I don't have any bluetooth hardware to test itHey, @bauner,
ROM is very stable, I use it in favor besides LP because all things are rather stable (no flashlight problems, no camera problems, etc.). Is it possible, maybe, to add or use it as Bluetooth A2DP Sink functionality, without too much of hassle? I'd love to see it, as I'm going to use my N7000 as my travel phone (Bluetooth tethering works, Wi-Fi to check since haven't any miniSIM, but I guess it will work as well). If the A2DP sink would work, I'd use it as home audio system on docking station (which is detected properly) and SIP softphone, which may be good use for such home case not only for me, I guess.
