Welcome to the final release of Froyo, by the CCRoms team, which means you guessed it, we're switching gears to Gingerbread after this release. With this release we managed to get the Evo/Emerald going as intended(sorry for the wait.) The Galaxy S style pulldown power widget has been implemented in this release as well. Gem settings have been completely re-written as well, to provide a more intuitive and easier to understand interface for everyone, and of course bug fixes abound.

downloads available at: http://www.ccroms.net

Note:
Droid X users, at this point there is nothign more we can find to do to improve battery life. When/If the battery starts to drain fast, gets sluggish, or gets hot, reboot the phone this will put the race condition causing all of these problems back to sleep, unfortunately there is no way to put the process back to sleep once it wakes up and if you kill the process kernel panics and the phone reboots anyway.

Rom Manager says I have the update. I've never installed through ROM Manager before. Does it wipe data, cache and dalvik or would it be best to wait and update when I get home through downloads via ccroms.net?

One bug so far- not complaining whatsoever- notification light stays lit. This was with a full wipe on Invisiblek's #28 kernel.

EDIT- Tried with both gmail and mms
Weird. Mine was doing the exact opposite as far as my last text goes (no LED at all). Hrmm. Also, curious if anyone gets a FC when enabling/disabling battery percentage? Either way, i dont care really. My experience leads me to believe toying with it enough should fix itself all up. Lol.

Gem settings FC when changing the user interface options. Still have to reboot in order for them to take effect. I did a fresh install. Stock kernel.

So, uh, I downloaded 2.0.2 from ROM Manager, which then asked me if I wanted to install the new zip. I checked "Backup current ROM" and "Wipe data and cache", then clicked OK to reboot into recovery and flash the new ROM.

That was almost an hour ago. It's been stuck on the white "HTC Incredible" boot screen ever since. I'm afraid to do a battery pull and brick my phone, but I'm unclear what to do now. Suggestions?

It never hurts to just keep waiting.

Won't be a gingerbread release. :-( cvpcs is joining the cm team. Sucks too because I loved ruby.

Yeah I saw that on twitter. Works for me though. Why not add more brain fuel to the fire!

As far as I can tell, unless a dev is doing something like MIUI (complete OS/UI revamp) it seems slightly silly to have so many branches for what is essentially the same thing. Having cvpcs working with CM might (hopefully) bring that smooth, rock solid feel to CM. Only other ROM that seemed as smooth as Ruby was LithiumMod, which from my understanding had a strong base from cvpcs' ROMs. But both Ruby and LM had features that didn't work *as well* as CM, despite feeling smoother. If that makes any sense.

To me, it seems to make logical sense. One dev trying to hold his own on 5 devices, or join a team of goodness knows how many other devs working on what... 20+ devices? Even though he'll be a D1 maintainer I'd doubt his skills with the other devices will get overlooked. Can't wait to see how his work improves the overall CM experience. :)
