There are some changes made to the kernel used on the final release (v5.8.5). But AFAIK 5.8.5 should be the most stable one. And ever since I use N7000, I never did any CPU/Performance optimization so I couldn't tell whether it is a problem with your Kernel Auditor or it is reporting false CPU Frequency.I have try it (5.8.5), but now i use 5.8.3. In 5.8.5, my n7000 become a lag. I check in kernel adiutor, the processor just run at 800Mhz. I have try many times to changes kernel adiutor's setting, but nothing happen. Do you have sollution for this problem?
I will try to check my CPU Freq using CPU-Z later and will report back.
You can try below settings :
Min:200mhz, Max: put maximum available, Gov: pegasusq, Scheduler: cfq(default), zen(if available)
And make sure in android settings, the performance profile is balance and disable per-app profiles.
If you want to try stock settings, make a clean flash of 5.8.5 (flash gapps is ok) and try to let the phone settle down for about one hour after you completed setup (or google login, in case you flash gapps) then try perform 3-5 times of restarts and wait 5-7 minutes in between restarts.
According to my experience indeed it is quite lag on first use when compared to earlier version but after few hours to let the phone settle down everything should be liquid smooth and way more smoother than earlier ones. 5.8.5 should be the smoothest one.
