Did you get this file from the folder with firmware 8.1 or 9.1/10?
I think only the same version (in this case 8.1) can be uploaded via 'android upgrade'.
You can try upload 8.1 firmware with this method

For upgrade to higher android version like 9.1/10 you need to flash a newer preloader, but you'll need a usb cable and a laptop/pc to use SpFlashTool app to upgrade.

Ovviamente 8.1. ci sono 3 cartelle. Credo sia la cartella ui2.
È partito l'aggiornamento...penso che se era sbagliato non sarebbe iniziato. Come ci fosse stato un blocco di aggiornamento. E poi non si è riavviato più nemmeno con la normale versione

I already know that 'android upgrade' is picky sometimes. It didnt want to upload an upgrade, when the same upgrade was successfully uploaded via spflashtool.
So if uploading another release doesn't help you, try spflashtool.

This is my android head unit info. It says android 11 but adding my google account revealed it was android 8. My main issue with it is that it sounds terrible plus it's abit slow. Does anyone have a solution for it?

Memory RAM also may be fake, as i've read that 8227 cpu support only up to 2GB RAM Memory.
You can check your real hardware info with an android app like Device info HW or some other apps.
Xyauto manufactuer of HeadUnits like in this tread provide only android from 6(fake8.1) up to android8.1(fake 10).
So if you have (fake)android 11 you probbably have some other manufacturer. And that's probably JUNSUN

Damn these manufacturers are craftier than i thought. It's really annoying to see what lengths they go to just to fake specs.

Is it worth to root and or flash a different software to this screen or should I just leave it as is?

Edit: thinking about it now it makes sense that the ram is fake cuz whenever i launch more than 2 or 3 apps the head unit closes other apps.

sorry ich bin neu hier und kenne mich da garnicht aus , das radio startet ja aber quer (bildschirm ) canbus einstellung sind weg und wenn ich eine neue frimware raufspielen will vom usb (ota ) sagt er fehler neu versuchen

Is your resolution is 1024x768?
You can find firmware for yt9260b on https://file.xygala.com (login:xyauto pass:123456)

If you can't update (ota) you can try update thru pc by SpFlashtool,
there should be two different packages to choose.

@air32 I'm guessing that's your 'testpoints' as I marked on your pic.

I haven't seen this type of model, mine looked a bit different so im not 100% sure.
Just remember that someone from here had similar board layout like yours, but he wiped his preloader without making a backup

So the moral of the story is you should back up your memory before doing anything, just in case.

Yep, i now made a complete backup (was possible without testpoint method) of preloader and rom. Which Rom should i now flash? I dont have any reference in model or manufacturer, so pretty unsure.

I just noticed... Isn't that the name of the xyauto model hidden under the marker? that could be a hint.
You can remove the marker with some alcohol etc.

Anyway you can try almost every single firmware yt92xx on your board and android system should work everytime (system release have to be the same, from8.1 to 8.1 or from 10.1 to 10.1 etc. otherwise you have to upgrade/downgrade appropriate preloader), just sound/radio could not work if firmware isnt dedicated for your sound/radio chipset.
I have tried almost all of them from xyauto.
For mine yt9216 most compatible was yt9216 and yt9218 firmware, which yt9218 gives me h-fi sound option that I hadn't originally.

You have good eyes, i didnt see it, checked again but sadly just rnd numbers. Then i think i will check the one from yt9216cj, newest version. What you said about system release is also not so clear on this HU cause in the screenshots i made it says Android 11, on Aida Android 10, so i think i go with the 10.1 release on xyauto, cause thats my Android Version ribjt now? The supermod Rom which is based on 8.1 is then not usable for me?

By the way: i just started to mess around with custom roms here cause Android Auto Wireless didnt work and overall performance is a mess on the rom for now.

Mostly fake 8.0/8.1/8.1go its android 6.0 - kernel version 3.18.79
Fake 9.1/10.0/10.1/11 its android 8.1 - kernel version 4.14.116.

So if you flash wrong release you'll just catch a bootloop, probably because of kernel (which is inside preloader).
but its not a big dill, you just need to flash another firmware (or backup).

Your kernel version is 4.14.116, so you are good to go, even with supermod8.

Just an advice, aida64 still reads some fake informatios, Device Info hw app shows more accurate info. (Bet it will show android 8.1, dont need screenshots ;p)

Btw i think i used some yt92xx'CJ' too, because its hi-fi verion

I have another question at you, i were able to flash the latest release from xyauto (9216CJ_hw_12ok-v7.3.7) but as i expected it runs not pretty well and is, in my opinion, full of bloatware. Is there a way to root the rom and get rid of that bloatware? Did you managed it or just use the rom as it is?

It seems to be the only way for me because i were not able to use supermod8, as i already posted in that thread i get a bootloop right after installing the rom on first boot.
