LineageOS 19.0 - BETA

Let's go for Android 12 .. this is an early build of lineage-19.0.

Tons of lineage customizations / settings / bugfixes are still missing !

As Lineage SetupWizard is still missing I did made dirty upgrade from 18.1 and just wiped my system partition in TWRP.

Using sysrepart_1380_20.zip the system partition is still too small for opengapps beta packages for Android 12. But BiTGApps-arm-12.0.0-R44_signed.zip works well.

lineage-19.0-20211130-UNOFFICIAL-flo.zip
lineage-19.1-20211130-UNOFFICIAL-deb.zip

Known issues:

- Tons of lineage customizations / settings / bugfixes are still missing !
- SELinux is permissive
- RIL/LTE is not working yet (DEB device)
- Maybe more issues ..

Tested flo build with Magisk 23.0.

Again .. it's still a beta build.

Thanks to @ipdev for helping and testing !

Enjoy Android 12 :p

OK all good now.
After following the suggested wipes and getting those errors I just did a basic wipe in TWRP and rebooted into recovery and then installed the latest Android 12 ROM followed by the small GApps and all went perfectly.
Cannot believe how well this old tablet runs 12!
Nice job

I followed the flashing instructions and successfully installed the new lineage-19-20211130 with absolutely no problems. I haven't had the opportunity to give it a thorough test yet but I can say so far it seems to be working very well. Magisk passed Safetynet and for a Beta, it is much better than expected at this point!

ElementalX kernel for Android 12

It's some kind of tradition to build EX kernel for the latest Android version ..

For the new kernel version I have merged all the changes since last EX kernel build.
Actually quite a few changes ..
To make it boot on Android 12 it requires massive binder update and various other changes.
Also the latest lineage kernel changes are inlcuded.
Due to boot problems I had to remove EX thermal adjustments and kernel-based thermal control.

The new kernel should run on Android 11 as well.
But the older EX kernels will not run on Android 12.

Pls use latest TWRP to install the kernel.

In case you want to go back to "stock" kernel ..

Changes:
- Merged latest kernel changes from lineage
- Updated Android binder for Android 12

- Various other changes

I just wiped cache/dalvik on my flo. 12 installed fine and is running well, except that I lost Magisk along the way. I tried setting it up with the boot.img from Lineage 19.0. Magisk said that installation was a success, but no root. I can wait for that if need be. This beta is running well thus far!

Magisk (23000) and Magisk canary (23010 -> 23015)) work fine on Lineage 19 flo.

Sounds like your Magisk install got borked when you updated.

Did you have the Magisk app repackaged (renamed) ?
If more than one Magisk app is installed, the two conflict and will cause Magisk to not work properly.

What modules did you have installed and active ?
If you are using a module that is not compatible with l19 (Android 12) you may have another issue once you get Magisk active again.

You can try uninstalling the Magisk app(s) and reboot.
Magisk will add the stub app.
Basically a placeholder app that downloads the full version when selected.

Open the Magisk stub app and download the full version.

If you patch the lineage 19 boot.img file using the Magisk app.
It is recommended to use adb pull to copy the magisk patched version back to the computer.
Then reboot into bootloader and use fastboot boot to boot the magisk patched image.
Open the Magisk app and if Magisk is active, use the Direct install option to install Magisk into the boot image on the device.

Hopefully that will help or give you an idea of what to try.

Cheers. :cowboy:

@ipdev:

Something was borked, all right! I don't have my Magisk app repackaged. I haven't installed any modules. Here's a summary of what I did and how I got Magisk to install properly.

I found that the Magisk-patched version ended up in my downloads folder. Is that where it should have gone?

adb pull kept giving me stat and input/output errors.

I used Android File Transfer to copy the Magisk-patched version to my desktop. (I have a Mac.) I then used Terminal to reboot my floor into boot loader mode. I entered the fastboot boot command and then copied the Magisk-patched version into the proper line in Terminal, and hit enter. My flo booted up. I then used the Direct Install option which installed Magisk into the boot image on my device.

Thanks for all your help! As you see, I was able to MacGyver this using your suggestions!

Hi,
does this kernel have dtap2wake working?
Thanks.
Both of followmsi's kernels support DT2W.

His regular one, used when building lineage, by default DT2W is disabled.
You just need to activate it.

Using a kernel manager to enable DT2W.

I have not check these settings in a while so, I am not sure if this is still accurate.

I use a Magisk module to enable it.

I made a bone-headed error with my sister-in-laws N7 2013 FLO. I flashed the followmsi DEB TWRP, instead. Then, to fix it, I did an Android Recovery Factory Reset (dead Android), and flashed the followmsi FLO. But now stock Android 4.4 (I think) and fastboot boots, but followmis's FLO TWRP doesn't boot. The tablet just hangs on the Google Splash Screen. My sister-in-law will be grateful for any help. :)

19/12 installed and seems to be running fine on my flo.

Somehow I lost the download files along with my latest 18 install file. The couple of months old copy of 18.1 I did have would install but would bootloop. OTG storage has always been hit/miss (mostly miss) on my n7. Luckily I could connect to my computer and booted to twrp could copy the install files to the n7 download folder and was then able to flash.

I did:
o resize partitions
o wipe system
o flash 19
o flash bitgapps
o flash magisk (not sure if that was necessary)
o wipe cache, etc

reboot to system, a couple of quick tweaks and all seemed well.

Thanks once again for continuing to do this. It IS appreciated!

I installed this latest Android 12 ROM for flo. I did a dirty flash over the previous Lineage 19.0. The only glitch I found was that I had to reinstall Magisk after installing this ROM and GApps. All else is running fine.

Are you able to install Netflix with lineage-19.0-20211212-UNOFFICIAL-flo.zip? It doesn't seem to work for me even with the app renamed, MagiskHide, liboemcrypto disabler, and MagiskHide Props Config.
