Google search , some website wrote that if Gyro XYZ reading is 0,0,0. Maybe Hardware/ cable issue, not related to OS/software.

All sensors work again after replug the thick grey cable (one of solutions found on google).

For what its worth A11 runs surprisingly well on this device considering what we're working with. I really only use mine for media consumption like YouTube, Netflix and Twitch but it does great with that. And the devs around here who work on this device have done a great job building and optimizing stuff for us. I'm excited to see what the future brings since it seems like there's still lots of interest in this tablet.

Fixed my problem described below.


I am trying to install the Lineage OS 18.1 Unofficial on my Nexus 7 WiFI 32GB.

I followed the steps in the OP, using the installers provided. As far as I can tell I am short like 42MB on space?

I have tried the sysrepart_1280_120.zip I have tried manually resizing the system partition in TWRP 3.5.2_9-0 that I installed from the flo folder linked in the OP. I have tried using pico gapps and adding a gapps-config file to the .zip removing these apps.

I'll check the "cross" package you've linked to.
Edit: I went with flo-deb_clamor_repartition.zip instead, which results in a system partition of 1.5GB, which was enough to install opengapps pico, as the open_gapps_log.txt shows:

Hey all, new to LOS here. Just thought I'd report my experience with 20201207.

• Install was a breeze, thankyou for such concise instructions that actually worked. Rare in these parts.
  Got a few black screen moments and a sudden reset the first time I opened Settings. Subsequent openings of settings worked fine.
• The device runs very hot but I expect as much... it is after all Android 11.
• I used BiTGapps... App store is installed but searching for an app crashes the play store and a later attempt reset the device. Will try another gapps I guess. I tried after leaving the device idle for an hour or so and it worked. Perhaps RAM limit?
• I'm missing something - I thought it was possible to disable display animations? Perhaps I'm thinking of an older Android version. Performance is *almost* acceptable but as it is, just a bit too slow for the device to be useful for what I want it to do. Is there anything I can change / disable to improve performance?

Try making use of X-plore file manager and move files if you happen to download the game from other sources apart from the playstore.

I can't as i'm looking to install from play store - I have some paid games that i dont want to get from outside sources. For now i've downgraded to LineageOS 17.1 (Android 10) until this issue is resolved..its really annoying as many roms are based off Lineage and they're all impacted too

Got mixed results on dirty flashing.

Either it worked or I get a bootloop.
Google splash screen, never get to boot animation.
(So no recovery party either. )

Ran out of time for testing tonight.
So far clean flashing the rom (newest flo lineage or aex) and OpenGapps only.
Setting up and then dirty updating (re-flashing the rom) works without a problem.
Change or add something I get a endless bootloop. WTF

Will test some more and let you know.
Main testing tonight was with aex.

It Must have took so much much time typing it.. thanks for replying, i have tried these already
Actually I was on august build and i flashed latest build over it without wiping system first.. everything went fine without any error untill i tried rebooting into system.. it just restarted once, got google logo screen then after 2 seconds screen went blank then after 1-2 second the screen again lit up automatically then after 2 seconds it goes blank again.
I can switch it off if i hold power button for long enough but when i try to reboot into recovery/fastboot with power+vol combination it just straight goes into the bootloop state.

To all those trying to install this ROM and OpenGapps and ending up in Error 70, regardlessly of using the repartition tools provided here:
I tried to install "lineage-18.1-20211008-UNOFFICIAL-deb.zip" followed by OpenGapps AROMA on my device yesterday. After some trial&error and ending up with a device that wouldn't do anything but starting in fastboot mode, I finally succeeded with the following procedure:

1. Use Restock to go back to factory firmware. What you need ist "Restock2.zip". See that thread for instructions (it's easy, just download and start the script and follow the on-screen instructions).
2. Download CROSS (from the first post, take CROSS2.zip, the current cross-update-vx.x.zip and sysrepart-ultimate.zip). Unzip CROSS2.zip and, afterwards, unzip the Update Package to the same folder, replacing existing files. Finally, place sysrepart-ultimate.zip in the "data" sub folder of the folder you extracted CROSS to.
3. Download Magisk-v23.0.apk, place it in the "data" folder and change the ending from "apk" to "zip" (new name: Magisk-v23.0.zip)
4. Download open_gapps-arm-11.0-aroma-20211102.zip and put it in the "data" folder as well. You might want to use the most current version from https://opengapps.org/, you need "ARM" (not ARM64!), "Android 11.0", "Aroma". If you download a newer version you need to adjust the file name in the following.
5. In the CROSS folder, make a copy of "lineage-install-3.bat" (call it whatever you like). In that copy, you need to adjust 2 lines.
   1. In line 50 replace:
      

      set GAZN=open_gapps-arm-11.0-pico-20210130-UNOFFICIAL_TEST.zip

      with:
      

      set GAZN=open_gapps-arm-11.0-aroma-20211102.zip

   2. In line 52 replace:
      

      set RTZN=Magisk-v21.4.zip

      with:
      

      set RTZN=Magisk-v23.0.zip

6. Save the file you just modified.
7. Drag&Drop the ROM Zip File onto that modified batch file you just created an follow the on screen instructions. Pay attention to all the output. For example, when the script asks you to wait for the TWRP MAIN screen (not the startup screen!), do so - don't continue too early.
8. When the aroma installer starts, select the options/apps you want. There should be enough space for all of them.
9. Optionally, think about giving the touchscreen fix a try - this helped me a LOT!
