Since nobody has chimed in....
If you are asking what I think that you are asking....
Just download the latest build to your download folder. Boot into recovery and select install, and select the new build from your download folder. That will copy the new build over your existing installation.

Please, someone correct me if I am mistaken... Thanks

Hi. 🙂

I mirrored followmsi's TWRP builds to MediaFire.
Added followmsi's 20230218 builds to MediaFire.

Direct Download:

twrp-3.7.0_9-0-flo_followmsi.img - MediaFire - Download

If you have issues with MediaFire, let me know and I can mirror them on sourceforge or AFH.
I still support (pay) AFH but, I have had too many issues so I do not currently use AFN. 😓

Cheers. :cowboy:

Little bit newer one also. 🙃
Post #3,612

Mirrored followmsi's ElementalX kernel.
Nexus7 - MediaFire - Link
Note: in the kernel directory.

I am not sure if the Twelve EX kernel is compatible with the current 12L builds.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Cheers. :cowboy:

PS.
I added the lineage-19.1-20230218-UNOFFICIAL boot images to the main directory.
If you have issues with the EX kernel, you can flash the regular boot image to recover.

Is USB host function supposed to work under this ROM? Tried it with both kernels (followmsi and elemental), but does not seem to be working.
Otherwise great work, unbelievable, that this tablet is still usable despite being 10 yrs old..

Okay, might need to apologize for my posting "RE Auto-Rotation". It seems that my cure for my Auto-Rotation issue of clearing the app caches was a fluke. It now looks as if my auto-rotation magically began working after clearing the application caches right before completely failing in a permanent way. So, my apologies for all those that might have followed my misguided lead.
I am now using the app "Rotation control" to manually change orientation......
Okay. Auto-rotate Update....
I did a clean install and Auto-rotate is back....
I installed all of my apps and did a TWRP backup while the Auto-rotate was still working.
Periodically, for some mysterious reason, I have not been able to isolate, the Auto-rotate stops working (last time it stopped was after I deleted a whole bunch of files). Sometimes a reboot works, but so far doing a TWRP restore back to when Auto-rotate worked does the trick......
Unless I am the only one with a haunted Nexus 7, I suspect there is some problem with the build. Looking online it seems that a bunch of people with Samsung's have lost their Auto-rotate after an update of Android 12...
My 2 cents. :)

I am pretty much a newbie (and opted for microG) but since nobody more knowledgeable has advised here are a couple ideas:

You might need gapps for 12.1 or 12L (not 12.0)?
Did you select the correct arms version (although I think that you would have received a different error message)?
Best of luck.

LineageOS 20.0

10 Years later .. and we still use and play with our lovely Nexus 7 2013 (y)

Due to old camera sources we have to use OpenCamera .. inlcuded in ROM.
Some other Camera apps from playstore may work as well.
Netflix, Youtube and other apps work like before.

It's time for Android 13 ..

lineage-20.0-20230322-UNOFFICIAL-flo.zip

lineage-20.0-20230322-UNOFFICIAL-deb.zip

Tested flo build with LiteGapps and Magisk 25.2 and v2.4.0-MOD_1.2.

Pls check first page for known issues and more information.

Thanks to @ipdev for testing and logs !
Thanks to @AlesUlrych for testing !
Thanks to @khalvat for working on LineageOS-UL !

Enjoy Android 13 :p

Hi all. 🙂

If you install GApps.

MindTheGApps arm build(s) give me an error and would not install. 😥

I am using "LiteGapps" for Android 13 (Lineage 20) arm (armv7a) devices.

I am not familiar with the LiteGapps project but, at least it works on deb and flo. ;)

Magisk + Displax's USNF Mod module..

Device is PlayStore Certified and PlayIntegrity passes. :D

Cheers all. :cowboy:

PS.
For the record, I am using followmsi's latest TWRP build(s).

Hi all. 🙂

I updated my main flo tonight. 🙃

I was able to clean(ish)/dirty(ish) update from Lineage 19.1 to 20 on my main flo. 😁
I have a second flo for testing and mostly clean flash it.
I normally clean flash my deb while testing builds. 😉

I patched the 20230322 boot image with Magisk.
- Pulled the magisk patched boot image to my computer.
- Rebooted into recovery (TWRP).
- TWRP -> Advanced, Wipe (system and caches).
This way no addon.d (backup) scripts would run.
- Rebooted to recovery and installed the L20 build and LiteGapps (core).
- Rebooted to bootloader and booted the Magisk patched L20 boot image.
- Then used the direct install method to make Magisk permanent.

Hope it helps others to update from L19.1 to L20.

Cheers all. :cowboy:

Hi,
today I did a new clean install (factory reset),
then install ROM + GAAPS + Magisk.
Factory reset I did due to corrupted google service that failed to connect to the internet. Probably a bug from the testing days. :)

Everything went as it should. After the install I reinstalled Magisk, activated Zygysk, reinstalled the Universal SafetyNet Fix 2.4.0 Mod extension + rebooted

Just a small warning for those who will do this as well. Google services loaded apparently gradually, because at first I couldn't even start the google account login option, then when I could it crashed while entering the password, but after a few restarts I could log in normally.

Now everything works, programs installed, device certified.

Thanks again to @followmsi and other people for the amazing work they put in to running the new system on this great albeit old tablet.
