I'm the wrong person to ask, it is the way it is, not a cooked ROM but a simple upgrade, i assume superboot from modaco would still work since boot.img doesnt seem to be changed.
I'm just sharing, not supporting.

I assume the reported sms bug .. as written in my first post, haven't had the chance to test it yet.

First... you CANNOT brick a phone with ROM update unless it has a radio update!!
