Thanks, I am fed up with battery drain, but I've ordered a new battery today, however I don't blame your ROM for the battery issue, it may be my 1 year old battery trying to die.

Another issue I faced now is I installed one of your theme(Gingerbread_theme_v5-Signed), but it got me stuck in boot loop, tried other themes, same problem, to solve it, I installed the 9.2 update again and voila the phone just completed the boot.

Now I am flashing the Kernel and then going to sleep its 2:50AM at my end.
will post the results after a few hours of NAP.

It does have recovery.After flashing the kernel when the phone reboots,press power+home+volume button to recovery.

Try wipe data in cwm immediately after flashing. I hope this helps.

Wipe data before boot.
I had the same problem when I installed V9.0 first, then I went for a wipe data in CWM recovery and rebooted again and it worked fine.

You could try this kernel, i have it for 10 hours now, and battery still at 96% with WIFI enabled all time

Or maybe CPU's not going into deepsleep.. I hope next release (it'll be a beta.. in a while) will enhance battery backup

Beta release: BLN_TEST version.

Change: Went back to initial BLN system (with some tweaks).

Kernel OC Test Version (recommended to everybody, may improve battery backup)
BLN Installer (Recommended if you want BLN - i5801 | i5800L) or lights file only.

If you don't want BLN, then don't install lights file. And if you have already installed a previous version, reinstall Samsung's original.

Works with or without Light Flow app. Two out of two testers said it work flawlessly.. so there shouldn't be any problems

I re flashed my phone with 9.2 then did a restore via the titanium back up pro .... The issue was that i couldn't download any app from the android market i could see the apps them but when i tried dowloading it would say "error in downloading".
thinking this was just like a pc i went ahead and unistalled via system turner... Now i am stuck with no andorid market !!!

How do i get my andorid market back... i had the apk of ver 2 on my sd card i ran that but it came back not installed. Do i need to install it only a system ap ??? if so how??? please help ....

As suggested by kyrillos,If you want battery back up try fugumod kernel.Flash fugumod alpha 19 or alpha 21.alpha 19 can be found in extras folder.alpha 21 can be found if you navigate about 4 pages back in the same thread.do post your reviews after flashing it.Happy flashing

UI hangs after unlock

After unlocking the screen if i pull down the notification bar, the phone freezes for abt 30-40 secs and then works fine. If i reboot, then this problem goes away temporarily, but comes back again. I even tried to wipe dalvik cache but the problem comes back.

why is this happening and how do i fix it? Its irritating.

I am on v 9.2 and g3mod v 2.2.1

Yes, you can, but keep mobile tracker and sound player, they are needed for phone funcionality. Correct me, if I'm wrong!

PicoTTS is a text-to-speech engine. Don't remove it! Tried it because I use SVOX instead and gave me fc's when I wanted to open the relevant options. I think you can try removing everything though, as long as you take a backup with titanium first (I bought the donate version and I'm happy with it ), then report back here with anything that didn't work

I flashed fugumod kernel (Alpha21-1366) to test the battery drain. I attach some benchmark pics... on kyrillos' rom v9.2

I'm about to test fugumod kernel now. Battery drain was fine with g3mod 2.1 after calibration but it's too drainy with 2.2.1 even after calibration.. I'll report back here with results.

9.2 is the fastest I've used so far as well. However, it's extremely fast before I restore my apps and it gets extremely slower after I restore them.. Is it slow when you have a lot of apps installed anyway or is it slow only when you have them running? I'll try removing some widgets from my launcher and see if it improves.. But is it possible to have a fast rom with cool widgets running as well? Should I try moving the apps of which the widgets I use to the internal memory instead of hd2sd? How would I do that? Move them to system/app with root explorer and reboot? Maybe I could put all frequently used apps there and just leave games, large apps and non frequently used apps on hd2sd... Would you recommend that?

And can someone tell me if I can update the next rom via adb and how? I hate windows!
