Stock Firmware FTF for XPERIA Tablet Z Japan WiFi Model SGP312

10.1.C.0.344
Released on 18 Apr
GPS performance improved
Download:
Part1 Part2 Part3

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

10.1.C.0.353
Released on 8 May
Touch responsiveness improved.
Download:
Part1 Part2

10.1.C.0.353 CWM Flashable zip
Slightly modified, original files renamed to [filename.ext0]
--Busybox, sqlite3, zipalign bin files added to /system/xbin
--Superuser app added, su bin added (seems not working properly)
--Default font changed to Believe
Download:
Part1 Part2 (Will move to d-h.st when upload recovers...)

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

For root on 353:
Flash cwm zip followed by superuser from clockworkmod
@Bin4ry 's tool works on 344 but not 353, another method will be needed for rooting 353.

Root is not always stable now I think, the Tablet will reboot while some root operations are performed, like hosts file edit.
And change superuser app dosen't help in this case.

Hope the files are useful to anybody~

I will appreciate it if someone can make a deodexed rom from the stock firmware for further modifications...
I didn't manage to deodex it...

If root is not stable then
adb shell
su
stop ric

now no more reboots will occour. You have to change /system/bin/ric with a fakefile which for example only sleeps to prevent reboots in future.

Hi I just got my Xperia tablet Z wifi 32GB model SGP312. I downloaded the 10.1.C.0.353 firmware and tried to use flashtools to install it. I have installed the drivers, flashtools detects my tablet. When I click on flash, it ask me to unplug the tablet, press the "back button" and plug in the USB cable. There is no "back button" on our tablet. So I tried pressing the volume up, my Pc shows it is installing the flashboot drivers. However, flashtools does nothing. I tried pressing volume down instead and it installs fastboot drivers.
Any help? Thanks.

Thank you for your reply.

I tried the procedure you stated and the result is like this:
I found ric locates in /sbin (firmware 355) and no ric is found in Tablet Z system factory image 355/344
stop ric doesn't stop the process (checked with ps), I must use kill PID to do that.
But even after killing the ric process, the tablet reboots when operation to /system is performed.
Replace ric from your root kit using the install-recovery.sh script doesn't help too.

Do you have any idea?

Same question here, trying it anyway.
it no longer says japan in the title so hmm its could be for us

can you PLEASE update here when you are done trying to update? thanks in advance
I think difference between Regions should be only pre-installed apps, and a same build no. is shared between regions.
But SGP311 is 16G model so I think flashing this 32G firmware may cause partition problem.
Flash FTF excluding system, partition then update system with CWM should work.

I will try this on my SGP311 (16GB versoion bought in germany). Will report back when ready (could take some hours tough already downloading)

PS: good idea to split the archive; we have doubled download speed :p

UPDATE 1: doesn´t flash with my current flashtool will try with the new 0.9.11.0

UPDATE 2: It´s flashing right now; i excluded "partition"(because i got the 16gigs version) and "unknown"

UPDATE 3: It´s working, just tick above mentioned checkmarks
