no it works only for the shield tv.
all android roms are device specific unlike computers.
is there a guide on how to downgrade from 3.0, without the shield updating on the setup

heh the link is page 200 (2 page away from here)

Odd feedback... the issue with the stock ROM is the lack of apps you can install and lack of general functionality.Terrible rom makes the nvidia shield like any other box.. M utter ****e
If you root the system you can use market helper and unleash the full app store. Leanback launcher is by far the best TV launcher....Odd feedback... the issue with the stock ROM is the lack of apps you can install and lack of general functionality.
The hardware inside this bit of kit is it's attractiveness at the end of the day. And it's damn better than other similar devices on that front.

Posting these here first in case it's related to running full Android on the Shield TV
Opening Shield Hub informed me that I needed to do an update. Went through the process and now GeForce Now is missing. Has anyone else experienced this? I've been away for about a month so maybe this is an older problem

I had to go back to stock for the family and attempted to use the Market Helper as before but get errors. It does not let me choose my user name. Not sure how I got it to work before but I am not having any luck. How did you get it to work?
I am on Stock 3.0. Maybe it worked on 2.1 (Android 5.1) better. Not sure.
Thank you.

The Sheila pads really good. I personally like the stock rom once you de bloat the system it's pretty slickI have ordered some gamepads and they will be here tomorrow. The kids told me they missed the custom launcher and want it back. With the new gamepads we will not have the wires to trip over. Hopefully I can get everyone happy. I made a nand of my Full Android. It is going back on. Will probably sell the shield gamepad. Too bad. I like it a lot.

Hi Zulu, I think I saw someone get a bit of hate for this suggestion with your Nexus Player LolliRock ROM but is it possible to install the Leanback Launcher onto this full Android ROM and emulate most of the Android TV experience? My reason would be that I want the freedom of the full Play Store app and settings but I do like the Android TV interface for use from my couch.
Also, presumably this requires an unlocked bootloader but not root because I've been struggling to root my 16 GB model.
Thanks for your work.
