Light seems to still stay on the shield?
yes because i want in this way and is the best way.
when the device is in standby, i must know that is not turned off, therefore the light is necessary to understand the difference.
I turn off my device when i not use it for long time and the light is turned off.

In this firmware, the device go in complete standby if you not use it for the time that you set in settings or if you press the power button, but with the light i must know that is in standby and not turned off. To turn off the device i long press the power button and from the power menu i press POWER OFF. The Shield hardware button have the same behaviour, one press and long press like all power buttons of remotes, keyboard,DroidMote, phones and tablets.

the stock Nvidia implementation is illogical and confuse users.

it would be cool if it was faded in sleep mode. and full bright only when on.

you need to wipe data if you switch to full Android.
fastboot -w

otherwise you have old data with bad Android Tv things inside.
When using "fastboot -w" does it take a while?
I see the Please wait. loop process on the Shield screen. And the erasing 'userdata'... in my ADB.
Please wait.
Please wait..
Please wait...
Please wait....
Please wait.....
Please wait.
I have the 500GB Pro. I know unlocking the bootloader took about 2 hours. So I am just wondering.

you can install and try what you want.
SuperSu link is this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/2014-09-02-supersu-v2-05-t2868133

the + sign mean that you can install supersu versions >= 2.67. In reality are working all SuperSu system less that patch automatically the boot image.
In Marshmallow you need a patched boot image that Supersu do automatically, this is the difference from the previous Lollipop firmwares.

If TWRP recovery ask, not install the old supersu, not mount the system, and not inject multirom stuff.
i used this twrp recovery: twrp-multirom-20151112-UNOFFICIAL-foster.img
http://forum.xda-developers.com/shield-tv/general/recovery-twrp-2-8-6-0-shield-tv-variants-t3140926

Yes the L version. I not tested the newer version, but i assume should work.

I not install the TWRP recovery, i only boot it with the command:

fastboot boot twrp-multirom-20151112-UNOFFICIAL-foster.img
I have 2 Problems

1. When i Connect my Shield pro with my PC i See Not Storage.

2. When i adb Push the supersu in sd Card i See nothing im Recovery.

Problem well i have no sd Card?
I must Insert a sd Card in my Shield?
Sorry for my Englisch.

In Android 6, to see the Shield TV disks on your PC, you must slide down the notification bar and put the usb mode to MTP.

How do I get the extended desktop option?

Many of the games are crashing before starting up, such as Alto's Adventure and Sky Force. Is this usual?
Tested both the games and both work very well.
Alto's Adventure requests permission at first start, make sure to grant permissions.

In general in Android 6 , with phone, tablet and TV, if you see a crash, the first thing to do is go in settings -> apps -> your app -> permissions and see if the app have the permissions granted.

P.S.
Consider that when i test a game, i always use DroidMote and not others input device.
If a crazy developer of a game check for touch screen, you have also this. I don't know if is related to one of this game, i write just for info.

So "gamers", from all info untill this day, what is the best and 100% compatible bluetooth controller for our Shield? To use on full android of course.

Does this ROM work with the shield remote ?
yes should work like in the 5.1 firmware because is bluetooth, i not have one to test.
But apart some apps like kodi ( also with kodi a mouse is better ) what you can really control with directional keys ?
Or what kind of stripped down version of an app you can control with directional keys ? ( you need an app reduced in options and functionalities )

We love full Android because we can use all apps and games on TV, and to use all apps you need a mouse and keyboard and if you need more (also multi touch and specific android buttons ), you need something like DroidMote.

after a year, this very simple concept, is not clear ?

The main problem of Android TV, apart the missing Android components, is that was invented without considering users that want use a mouse, and without a mouse you are in the limbo that you already know when you tested Android TV.

The interaction with Android is the key of everything, if you can interact well with Android on TV, the full Android is 1000000000000 times better than Android TV.
And personally for me the interaction with Android on TV is perfect. You know what i use. And for this reason i love full Android.

The decision to remove the mouse from TV was made to force users in some directions and to sell better some multimedia services. An user without mouse have more limitations and big companies can sell better if an user have limitations.

But this companies, forget that Android on TV is a reality from more than 5 years and many of us are already accustomed to have all apps on TV. Propose a stripped down version of Android is really ridiculous and can be good only for users that not know the other world or for some users that use a limited number of apps ( like users that use only Kodi ) but i repeat, also with Kodi the mouse is the best way for a fast interaction.

You must start the procedure with the 3.0 stock firmware installed.
So I guess I have to flash Stock 3.0 recovery image from NVIDIA before flashing this if I'm currently on the Stock Restyle ROM? Hoping to shorten the flashing process if I could when I eventually change to this ROM.

Not sure what you mean by 100% compatible. A lot of Android games don't seem to have controller support and you have to use something like DroidMote to emulate touch. The Xiaomi Bluetooth controller mentioned above seems decent enough and the price is pretty good. Another option would be the SteelSeries Stratus XL, but it's pretty pricey.

I personally hope that the Sixaxis Controller app would be updated to support Marshmallow so I can just use my DualShock 3 and not forced to buy another controller.
