You are pull boot.img from ruu and root follow under method for pull patch_boot.img ?

Instead of that use open source Magisk to root, and without touching the recovery partition. Follow this procedure:
This is step before you pull patch_boot.img
1. Download http://fotadl-az.htc.com/secure/OTA_...bbi6tc9m38.zip
2. Extract firmware.zip.
3. Extract boot.img from firmware.zip from step 2 and transfer to the /sdcard.
4. Install Magisk Manager and select Beta channel
5. Click install and choose to use "patch the stock boot image" method. It will browse you to /sdcard. Choose the boot.img from step 3. After its done, it will give you path of patched boot image.
6. Transfer the patched boot image from step 5 to PC using 'adb pull'
7. Boot the phone into download mode and flash the patched boot image.
8. Reboot and enjoy!!

I try to add patch_boot.img on my custom rom and it's boot work too.
This process boot up is still defective.
Process boot
HTC Power by android >Boot animation htc U >black screen>press hold power +volume down for boot in download mode and select reboot system > HTC Power by android >Boot animation htc U>show number android update> HTC Power by android>set up devices>enjoy

Note: I will add file patch_boot.img this rom on tomorrow.

2.flash patch_boot.img via twrp (choose install imge)
3.reboot >htc bootani>black>
4.press power+volume down for boot in HTC downlod mode and select reboot
>htc power android>htc boot animation>updtae number show>htc power android>set up devices>enjoy

wen flash is completed,system ui stop too,maybe myphone model matched this boot.img(patched_boot 1.24.1405.7.img) only,my phone model is htc_dtwl.
so after fastboot flash boot patched_boot 1.24.1405.7.img,everything working .thank you very much for providing this rom for htc u11 plus
