if you have a sdcard adapter, unplug your sdcard and use the adapter to transfer.

Ooops.. My fault i extracted the zip as usual and flashed the original file again.
The new file that gets added to the goapkrev\backup folder is called 2011-01-16.20.47.00.

it works for me and for other user, maybe you need to unplug your sdcard and transfer using an adapter.
i tried usb transfering and adapter and works. so don´t know what happen.
It flashed correctly (now i chose the correct file).
The animated boot logo is the best i have seen on any android (almost makes you want to keep rebooted the handset just to see it.
Market works fine (which is a relief as to me it is very important)
WIFI working fine
No issue with 3G/GSM
Camera works perfect
Camera flash also works EVERY time
Battery life seems superb
I will continue to test for the next hour but based on initial impressions i think you have finally cracked it for us! - We now have a fully working froyo rom for the DEFY!!

there is a noticeable flash when taking a pic, which aint to bad. but in other apps you can barely tell its on
The rom is excellent, i have tried out as many apps as i could and the only very minor things:
I would have preferred vertical apps list rather than the horizontal scrolling - not sure if this is a setting a user can change or not though.
The grey theme is a little hard to see in some places if the a box is ticked or not.
Initially felt a little sluggish and not quite as responsive as other froyos but having clocked it up to 800mhz/66vsel and it feels much better and i am now very happy with performance.
I have a couple of google email accounts which are fine, but there seems to be an issue adding other non-google accounts though.
For the first time in about 3 weeks i am happy that i took the plunge and upgraded to 2.5.1.
Excelllent work! Think i will be keeping this one (or at least until we get a 2.3).

-the horizontal scrolling can be changed on adw settings.
-you can flash the stock theme, if not like the custom one..
-for emails you can use k9 app or other app for emails.

i am getting there now. had to flash back to JRDNEM_U3_2.51.1_BLUR_P3 using rdslite
but know where i went wrong i think.

after flashing back to 2.51 and restoring my backup of 2.51, the flash is still very weak in the camera and not noticeable in other apps. any suggestions?
one question: does the tactil buttons(home, searsh, menu, back) vibrate for you guys? mine does not vibrate.
mine dont either my sywpe isnt working and sd card not mounting any suggestions?
