I made a little investigation around battery drain. Battery drain causes GPS, in betterbatterystats app is kernel bcm4773_wake_lock, which after use eg. gps navigation still running and the system cannot go into deepsleep mode. if i turn off location in settings problem is gone.
Btw thanks enesuzun2002 for this LOS builds.
Following up on the hint you were referring to, I turned location into "energy-saving" mode (so GPS off). That seemed to help a bit, but sometimes the battery still drains out very fast for no apparent reason, sometimes it's lasting really long time. For example last night, before I went to bed, battery was down to 50% after a full day of use (not too much, only a bit of email, messaging, weather app plus some random apps). Then in the morning, after not using the phone for around 7 hours, it was a bit warm when I first grabbed the phone, battery down to 8% with "Sleep mode" being the thing which consumed the most energy during the past 18 hours. And you could see the battery curve being relatively stable in the beginning and then during the last few hours, there was a big change and it went down fast. The 8% left were prognosed to last for another 20mins when I checked.
I am not sure if this is supposed to work on LOS or not but i end up with a bootloop if i try to enable device encryption. Only way to fix this is to wipe / reformat from TWRP.
Is there a way to have encryption working, would be really nice as this is a prerequise for AFW.
can you quote the post where you explained how to fix the battery. I couldn't find it. thank you very much
SM-G925 is Galaxy S6 edge, this is not the topic or ROM for it.
