1) If you need HDR effects you can use GCAM ports for exynos devices

2) this is not possible don' t even think of it

 I did it!

Out of some little necessity I just created a new LineageOS 16.0 build:

For Galaxy S6 (zerofltexx):

For Galaxy S6 Edge (zeroltexx):

January (Security) patches are included:

.. and I would like to provide monthly builds for both S6 devices originally supported by LineageOS 14.1,
maybe even for other S6 variants, let's see ...

Have a lot of fun and enjoy my builds!

But because I don't own such a device:
Testers for Galaxy S6 (zerofltexx) are very welcome!
I am looking forward to your feedback...

My builds won't be signed for now!
Be careful when updating or upgrading from an earlier signed build!
Instructions can be found here:

Hi, @Borstelchen, while moving from stock rom I'm forgot that this is unsigned ROM and my device get caught into bootloop. Instructions from wiki isn't clear for me to be honest, the last time I did this script things was over 10 years ago ;). Could you help me with flashable ZIP that I should run before install? Many thanks

Hi @pegasus_sis,
LineageOS ROMs and other Custom ROMs are usually not suitable for upgrading a Stock ROM!
This approach usually fails!

First, a Custom Recovery such as TWRP must be installed.
You can then use this to create complete backups of your device.
Then the System, Data and Cache partitions must be wiped!
And only then you can flash a Custom ROM like LineageOS with factory settings.

In order to be able to help you, however, I need to know which device you are using.

End of support for LineageOS 16.0 ...

It appears that there will be no backporting of Android 10 security (!) patches to LineageOS 16.0.
Therefore, I do not provide such LineageOS 16.0 builds any more.

As of now, I'll be providing new builds for both S6 devices in the LineageOS 17.1 branch.

Please follow me here:

In my case, an in-place upgrade always failed.
Unfortunately I couldn't solve the problems.
I had to do a factory clean install of LineageOS 17.1 and restore the data from the Google One backup.
However, there was still a lot to do...

Nonetheless, here are the standard upgrade steps.
Please be careful! Note step 1!
Maybe you are successful?

Upgrade instructions:

1. Make a backup of your device including all partitions using a Recovery system like TWRP!

2. Download the LineageOS 17.1 build:

For Galaxy S6 (zerofltexx):

For Galaxy S6 Edge (zeroltexx):

3. Download proper addon packages if needed:

Google Apps for ARM64 architecture:

4. Boot into Recovery system.

5. Format your System partition!

6. Install the LineageOS 17.1 build, then install all your addons without rebooting!

If you have the Google Apps addon installed on your device, you must follow this step before booting into LineageOS 17.1 for the first time!

7. Wipe Cache and Dalvik!

8. When you’re done, reboot the device and enjoy the new LineageOS 17.1 system.

Here's my review about this rom. On another S6 (mine is S6 too, but running on One UI 1, pie not on this rom):
- Buttery smooth, 1,7gb ram free, check in HKtweaks with Discord, Facebook, Messenger installed
- No bloat
- Battery life was bad tho (THIS HIT ME HARD), on OneUI 1 rom's battery life was pretty good, this one just bad.
- Smoother than LinageOS 17 or 18 (I tried), both newer rom had bad battery life and laggy animation
- No overheat
- Scrolling a bit laggy sometimes
Thanks a lot for bringing this to S6!

hi i would like to use fyod rom 5.1 on my s6 g920i i miss that design but its kernel is terrible it gives me a lot of buff. Can I extract and flash the android 9 based cdroid kernel on top of the fyod rom? Or someone give me a link to a good compatible custom kernel, it's sad to give up the one ui and the samsung apps but that kernel gives me above all a terrible fault, having my battery at 50% or less, it doesn't charge until I restart the phone .

Note: This is not a ROM based on the ROM shipped with your device.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9 (Pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github Repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Custom Features Overview:
    • Hyper - Kernel
    • Custom Power Hal by TeamNexus
    • Many More

    What's working:
    • Telephony (Calls, SMS, Mobile Data)
    • WiFi
    • Bluetooth
    • NFC
    • GPS (Plain Device Mode Works)
    • Fingerprint
    • Camera (Needs Improvements)
    • HWC

    What's not working:
    • Obviously Samsung's own features such as Samsung Pay, KNOX, Theme Center, Game Launcher, etc. won't be ported to LineageOS. We may have our own implementation to similar functions, though.
    • IMS services (VoLTE, VoWiFi, etc). Samsung has their own proprietary implementation. It is not really possible to easily port that to LineageOS.

    • Make sure TWRP has been installed and functional.
    • Download the latest build (and optionally gapps).
    • Reboot to recovery
    • Wipe data and cache (required if you switch from other ROMs)
    • Flash the latest build (and gapps)
    • Reboot

    Reporting Bugs:

    • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)

It is a good idea to read here before asking same question

    1- Q: How can i report a bug?
A: Download Syslog app from Google Play Store and send me all log types and explain the bug clearly please.

2- Q: I have a tmobile device and can't connect LTE what should i do?
A: Try this workaround (till i find a real fix for that) by @bohica888: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=81732753&postcount=602
Hi everyone! I took the liberty of fixing the build errors in the hardware samsung_slsi official repos to be able to build zerofltecan, zerofltexx, zeroltecan, and zeroltexx, with the standard lineage codebase.

With enusuzun2002's permission, here are my roomservices:

    and my builds:

Build 0716 for all 4 variants (link in my signature)
    * Partial HWC fix that I had mistakenly overlooked in my previous builds, but I am familiar with these changes because I use them in my S7 builds, from Ivan_Meler's sources. PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT something new! enesuzun2002 had included these changes in his own builds.

surfaceflinger: check for unreliable retire-fences before invalidating
[TEMP] graphics: libhwc2on1adapter: fix up layer handles

Once Ivan_Meler pushes his finalized HWC fix, I will be sure to cherry-pick it into my forks of enesuzun2002's S6 sources.

    * Synced with LineageOS sources.

You should be able to dirty flash my builds overtop of enesuzun2002's lineage-16.0 builds. However, if in doubt, do a clean flash.

Q: Why don't you make use of the Lineage OTA Updater in your builds?
A: Because I upload to Google Drive, it is impossible to use Lineage's OTA updater because the download URL of the build would have to be predicted prior to building and merged into the OTA updater's settings. Because Google Drive only assigns a file ID once a file is finished uploading, it is impossible to predict the file ID ahead of time to insert it into the OTA updater. I use Google Drive because of virtually zero downtime and generally fast download speeds. I have used Android File Host and BasketBuild in the past, as well as Mega, and all these services had let me down at one point or another. Not that Google Drive is perfect, but it has been the most reliable for me. However, for those unfamiliar, the easiest way to be able to download my updated builds straight to your phone is to add your variant's folder from my account to your account as a shared folder.
