[ROM][G920W8] Beer ROM [6.0.1] 2/09/2017

Welcome to Beer ROM!
Based on G920W8VLU5CPK4
Made for the Canadian Galaxy S6 ONLY!

For now this ROM is in Budweiser-Beta, it is extremely stable and is Debloated, has Knox removed, and of course is Rooted with SuperSU. More features will come as I learn to implement them in, as long as they don't effect the overall stability. Unfortunately I have yet to modify anything in the ROM, that being said, if you want to add in some features with Xposed Framework HERE is a link to a working Unofficial Xposed version by @wanam for Samsung ROMs.​

Known Issues:
None, but if you find a bug, let me know please!

Installation:
1. Download ROM and boot into TWRP.
2. Wipe > Advanced Wipe > Dalvik/ART Cache, System, Data, and Cache.
3. Install ROM with TWRP, and Enjoi!
(ROM is deodexed, so first boot may take up to 15 minutes, give or take.)

I'm not entirely sure actually, this is just stock TW rooted, debloated, and a few other minor changes at the moment, I won't be doing much else until Nougat arrives, then I'll be learning to implement some more stuff in. :good:

Flashed it today and I must say it is pretty stable and so far battery life seems very good. Keep up the good work mate. And thanks for looking after us Canucks S6 owners.

Im hoping for a Nougat base to work on in more detail, maybe with 3Minit Battery, but alas we still have to wait on our carriers. Thanks for giving it a try, I was last using Twisted Kernel on this and it was great on battery!

I have Twisted Kernel zip file already on my sdcard, just waiting a few more days of running the stock kernel
before I flash TK. So far even the stock kernel seems to have a fairly good battery life. And yeah Twisted kernel rocks.
Hopefully the Canadian carriers will start rolling out the N soon. Thanks.

@adzcache Hey mate, did you tweak the build.prop on this ROM. I noticed two identical properties/settings with different values:
persist.sys.use_dithering=0
persist.sys.use_dithering=1

I kept the second on for better image quality.

No I didn't actually, I used Assayyed's Kitchen to build this, not to sure why there would be 2 conflicting properties but I'll definitely keep in mind to double check the build.prop next time. So dithering is for better image quality, huh, ya learn somethin' new everyday!

I am not a dev or anything. I am learning from members here. There is a thread on tweaking build.prop here

I found a few duplicate properties with different values assigned to them. I don't know the effect of it or is it intentionally put there by the author.
Any Devs here can shed some light?

So I flashed to t-mobile... and it worked save the USSD Codes failing. Oops.

Although it says Canadian only it is posted in the t-mobile development page. Is there something I'm missing? If this IS meant for sm-g920t, the USSD Codes such as *#06# return a connection error.

I posted it in the G920T section because the G920W8 is relatively the same, aside from the USSD Codes as I just found out. Sorry mang.

Is the stock camera app included in this rom? Was wondering which bloatware was removed. Do I also need to install gplay myself?

As well, chich kernel is best for this folks... stock or twisted?

Yes it's the stock camera app, bloatware like excel, hancom office and other such apps are removed, Google Play and main Google apps are in included. Personally I was using both kernels and enjoyed twisted kernel over the stock one.
