Btw, i wasnt getting the most out of the battery with this ROM.

Could only get 1.5 days with the lightest usage (No mobile Data, WiFi on occasionally), Using conservative settings

Could it be my kernel?

depends on ur usage, for me it was like Oxygen's battery with CM Performance & Features minus the bugs plus the eye candy..
