I feel that there is one byproduct of the CRT animation mod. At times the home key gets stuck.

I have posted the details in Entropy's DD thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1289460&page=219 ), post # 2188. If you follow that post for one or two pages, you will see what others have to tell about that stuck home key issue.

Have you faced any bug like this?
There is a workaround, it requires editing the services.jar. I can add that to the list of mods for the next update. Updates will come slowly by the way, my job has me real busy lately. I'll try to do a weekly update though, if possible and if demand exists.

There's no hurry Ryude :)
I am pretty much happy with 1.3.6 and I still have to test 1.3.7. So it will be quite some time before I will need an update. I always might switch inbetween to Binnacle and LiLROM, those are tempting too... too many options! :D

But yes, please put "Swipe to Clear Notifications" higher in priority if possible.

Thanks for this ROM!

I have one more feature request:
Is it possible to have the screen timeout setting in the toggle panel?

Talking about screen, I noticed that when 5% battery is left, screen brightness is forced to very low and I can't even increase that if I need to. Is that a mod or is that a default behavior of stock 2.3.4?

I would like that forced low brightness to be removed. It's fine if the brightness is set to ultra-low when battery level hits 5% but that should be forced, I should be able to change that.

I am noticing the same in CM7 too.

you can over ride the power saving settings by setting your own custom brightness in the power saving setting Panel.

I keep the power savings mode disabled. So that's not causing this. So it's probably default in 2.3.4 to force lowest brightness once battery <=5%

Yea, I'll see if I can make the brightness toggle into a multi-step brightness toggle. The same way jkay does it.

Swipe to clear notifications is now complete, I'll try to work on the crt animations tomorrow. Suggestions are welcome :)

1.3.8 Changelog - Download
TwCalendar wake-lock fix (forgot to include in last version)
Battery percent while charging and different battery meter
KH7 modem (again), was getting complaints of poor call quality
Entropy's DD 03/05 (3 stepping gpu)
Swipe to clear notifications (with improved gestures)
Added some widgets back in
Removed some useless apps/services
Build.prop tweaks/init.d scripts

If you flash a theme, if it overwrites the framework.jar or systemui.apk you will lose swipe to clear notifications. Unless the theme includes it.

Can you install the latest version right over the previous or do you need to do a fresh install?
I recommend a fresh install, but you can just flash it on top. All the important stuff will be overwritten, but you will still have some of the apps that I removed left over from the last version.

General rule: for updates from an existing version; don't wipe (unless you experience issues). For changing roms; clean install.

If it really needs a wipe, I will explicitly say so with a warning. Otherwise, every update does not require a wipe.

Thanks guys!

I'll just do a fresh install. Need something to pass time anyway.
