Hi to all. I have a question. Im gonna try a rom on my phone and I want to know how to restore the nandroid after that. Restore data and then advanced restore boot/devtree/recovery? im using v3-test 3 and the rom I want to test es cm9 with froyo kernel. Txs

Hi Walter, great rom.. I just tested the inpocket detection and confirmed it doesn't work. Tried looking for the patch in the first page but couldn't find it. Anyway you can re-post it somehow.. Thanks..

Don't work.....

1. Press and hold Vol-
2. Press power button

When you see the red triangle with "!" in it, press Vol- and Vol+ at the same time.
Wipe cache, reboot.

are really safe to delete, especially the ones with "blur_" caused fc's for me.
If you want more free RAM i recommend this app, it is quite helpful and you will never need a taskkiller again.

if you plan to delete any blur-apps, it is better to freeze them first with titanium backup. If you don't run into fc's you can safely delete.

I tried it no my self:

I have the 2.3.5 Defy+ sbf on my DEFY+ MB 526

Then i root it.
install 2ndinit
follow the instruction on the first site...(Install method for MS2Ginger2.1)

Then i reboot and get this error!:
Bootloader
09.10
Err:A5,70,00,00,23


Battery OK
Ok to Program
Connect USB
Data Cable


So I flash the sbf file again and i can use the phone...
But i want to have MS2Ginger installed...
can someone help me?



EDIT: I solved the problem: just Restore System+Data not boot and devtree....

Hey Walter have tried ur ROM as 2nd system I can't get it to work!
I have cm9 with gb kernel on 1st system.
But when I install ms2ginger 2.1 or ms2ginger 3b3 on SD card it does't boot
after M boot logo it reboots !
Is it because of wrong kernel?

Is it imp to flash fixed sbf?
What things are flashed when we flash fixed sbf?

Bdw I never tried to restore Recovery from advanced restore during my attempts...(Scared)

Hi,I been reading this thread for 3 days now, and finally I'm up to date with all the posts, but I'm still a little confused, I'm on wajk MIUI now, witch has froyo kernel if I'm not wrong... I want to try out 2.1 version of this ROM because of the 720p video recording capabilities of my red lens defy.
The thing is that I'm not sure what patches or fixes to install after following the new installation steps of the first post, and I'm confused about what kernel should I install after installing ms2ginger 2.1 on my red lens defy, so if anyone could please tell me exactly what to do after installing ms2ginger like it says on first post, I'll be really appreciated!

2. Reboot and enter recovery and wipe data + cache + dalvic cache
3. Go to restore - advanced restore system and boot
4. Flash fixed sbf also on first page
Reboot
I suggest you make a backup first as social network fcs after you set it up.
