Ah cool, seeing as they both use same fixed sbf i assumed it would work and it did

mhm, for me it works. Did you wiped or updated?
Try wipe via CWM, restore nandroid and flash fixed-sbf.
If this will not work. Flash froyo via rsd.
Full wipe (data/cache/dalvik) or just cache/dalvik?

It's working great so far. The only two little issues I have found are:
-Battery Calibration doesn't work out of the box. I had to uninstall it and download it from market.
- browser has a Chinese page as default home, also Google is not among the search engines.
Besides that, I have nothing to complaint about.

Just an observation. If contact is stored in international format e.g. 1-979-999-7777 then dialing 999-7777 from dialer you will notice that it dials as if the contact is not stored in your phone.
Turn it around and the same thing happens. If stored as 999-7777 and you dial 1-979-999-7777, it dials as if contact is not stored in phonebook.

Contacts have to stored in this format +494032208302.
tried cache/dalvik doesnt work,,,, tried full wipe doesnt work... now im going to try reflash sbf and see how it goes...
Ok.
I think maybe becuse its originally a Chinese rom why it dials that way. I had a Krorean rom on my XT once and it was the same.
Normally on European and American roms it doesn't matter how its stored or how its dialed it always shows the contact's name from phonebook
