Need help. Can not install ms2ginger 4.0

I have installed cm7 no problem. I have wipe the phone and installed 3.4.2-179-002-tmobile-froyo-fixed.sbf. I installed SndInitDefy_2.3. I go to recovery. wipe data. wipe cache. wipe dalvak or however it is spelled. when iI try to install ms2ginger zip I get installation aborted.
My main goal is to sim unlock this phone so it can be used on at&t. I don't care what rom I use. just want it stable with sim unlock.
Thanks
Tayte
I believe my camera lens is green. hard to tell.

Today I screwed my phone with a bad install of a program to optimize memory, even after uninstall battery drain was high and the majority of the cpu governors weren't working.

I went to custom recovery and restored only System from original MS2Ginger 4, and now things seem back to normal, all my apps and data remained good.

Have I said this room is great ? good to have it :victory:

For some reason, I am missing Sleep and Reboot on my power press options menu after my otherwise successful restore of MSGinger4.0.
Anyone else had this issue? Suggestions?

I'm doing a wipe/restore to test.

>>Edit
After wipe/restore, menu is back.

>>Edit again - found the culprit, it's this .zip
720p+panorama-defy.zip
Looks like it's already incorporated into the Nandroid.
The panorama camera mode is sweet!

Otherwise, this is a great, comprehensive ROM.

Hi guys! I have CM10 (CMX) on my red lense defy, and I use gingerbread kernel (of mb256).
I want to install MS2Ginger now, but the install guide says that I should have froyo on my phone, but I'm having some problems to fllash a froyo SBF and I'm afraid of install any froyo ROM and have problems cause of the kernel.
What should I do?
Install any froyo ROM? Install MS2Ginger dictly from CM10? Keep triyng to flash a froyo SBF?

which files are needed to fix SOC-camera on GB-kernel?
I'm using custom kernel with SOC-support but this Stock-ROM does show blackscreen at preview only.

EDIT: got it working. just copied all libs which started with "libcamera".

Guys, I installed MS2Ginger directly from CM10, and seems to work well!
But when I try to open "Settings -> CyanogenMod settings -> Interface" or "Settings -> CyanogenMod settings -> Lockscreen -> Style options" or "Settings -> CyanogenMod settings -> Lockscreen -> Widget options" and some other options, I get this error:
The aplication CyanogenMod settings (process com.cyanogenmod.cmparts) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again
I already tried again and again and tried to reinstall the ROM, but the problem continues.
Any tips?

Hey Gents,
Just a note that I have Multiboot working on my Defy, with DHT-22 GB & MS Ginger 4.0 as nand, CM 7.2 Defy+, and WajkIUI v2.10.27 Defy+ on SD, as noted on the thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1364659&page=118

Any thoughts on overclock or 4th vsel support for multibooting the GB kernel, i.e. 4.5.3-109-DPP-11-gingerbread-BL5?

Anyone can check this:

in MS2G 4.0, uncheck auto brightness in settings,
then set a lower brightness .
after reboot, the brightness always goes back to about 30%,
which means it cannot be saved for other values of brightness after reboot.

I found this because it's too bright for me in auto mode compares that in MS2G 3.0.

If there will be some mod to lower down auto-brightness?

edit:
It's ok now.
It happened after I installed an app lux auto brightness then uninstalled.
When I reinstalled ,uninstalled again ,it comes back normal.
I cannot reproduce this issue as the steps I first use it.
Maybe random bugs or others~~

edit2:
After a unnormal reboot(power+volume up+volume down),
the brightness come back to around 30% again.
Then every reboot/shut down keeps that value instead of a lower one.
But it becomes normal after this:
set a lower value in settings,
open dice player and using a higher one, quit, you can see screen becomes dim.

After this, reboot will keep the customer value.

But weird thing is I didn't open any video player that time.
