Tested it, without luck.

Don't know if I did the right thing?:

- Downloaded the newest zImage. (2013 03 23)
- replaced the zImage from /system/bootmenu/2nd-boot with a file manager
- restarted the phone
- opened photo camera: Black screen until message "not responding, Close/wait"
- opened video camera: Black screen until message "not responding, Close/wait"

I added dmesg and logcat.

Can you check if camera0 is present in /dev/camera0?

hey walter, i have a red lense defy and i tried your new rom, i have only to say WOW!
i'm coming from cm10 and i can feel the difference this is faster with games, application and the system generally.
i have only problems with automatic brightness that isn't working good.

You can use /system/framework/framework-res.apk from MS2Ginger 4.0. 5.0 use new defaults for brightness

May I ask a question? Does the MS2Ginger 5.0 new "Defaults" is brighter than the 4.0? or the defaults have been lowered in order to save more battery?

Yes, you need to recover only system, as wroten on first post.

i have still black screen after recover backup. I first flash froyo sbf, and not working, black screen and reboots. I tray wiping but this not work

i will try. anyway, another thing, today my battery is dead and when i was recharging the phone it didn't show the battery with percentage so i had to turn it on, have u deleted that?

30fps? 24fps was my best on defy. But did not test on latest custom kernel.
