You can use mms.apk from CM7.

Wifi tethering fix MS2Ginger 2.0 and Lite 2.0

go to /settings/wireless&network/Mobile networks/Access point names/

- select you APN
- del everything in "APN type"

- reboot


Could someone test if USB-tethering works with this settings.

edit: /system/etc/apns-conf.xml is the problem. Automatic setting for APN typ is wrong

tried it but usb tethering....... not working for me on ms2ginger2.0.........

USB tethering works with this apn typ: default,supl,mms, dun

Callrecord via Dialpad MS2Ginger2.0

Good news. 4.5.2-109 and 4.5.3-109 are compatible.

You can use system apks from 4.5.3 and put it to 4.5.2

I start porting the incall record function via Dialer.

attached SoundrecoderMot.apk and Blurphone.apk from 4.5.3-109 DPP11 rom (MS2Ginger Lite 2.0)

Maybe someone can help to do the porting.


Could someone test if 4.5.2-109 Dialer.apk (attached) fixed the callID problem in Lite 2.0 editon?


EDIT: Callrecord WORKS, but BlurPhone FC after cancel call.

replace only BlurPhone.apk and SoundRecoderMot.apk and delete original SoundRecorder.apk

Final fix for Wifi and USB Tethering

- install zip via CWM recovery View attachment wifi-usb-tethering-fix.zip
- delete your APN --> /settings/wirless/mobile networks/access point names/
- restore default APN settings--> /settings/wirless/mobile networks/access point names/ --> press menu button --> Reset to default


This patch fix the APN TYP problem. APN Typ is set to: default,dun or default, dun, mms (supl was deleted in apns-conf.xml)

I've been using this ROM for 4 days now but this morning I woke up and saw that my Search Button LED is off, but all other 3 are just fine.
I know about killing LED problem, but did smn resolve it?
I tried with adjbrightness, no help :S

Would it help if I switch so some CM7/MIUI ROM?

So Im using Ms2Ginger2.0 BLUR, with panorama-fix, not the latest wifi-fix (previous one), theme-fix, superuser-fix.
It is RED lense DEFY.

I agree. Here I uninstalled adjbrightness and my buttons still working fine.

Proda, stop adjbrightness, delete adjbrightness from /system/app and /system/preinstall. Reboot.
